Lets all hope this somehow splits the timeline so we can have classic sonic and modern sonic for future games. If zelda can do it so can sonic.

Super Sonic renders have been leaked:

Strangely enough, Classic Super Sonic doesn't have green eyes like he did in Sonic 3. There's only one of two reasons I could think of as to why he doesn't. Number one, they wanted him to look more like he did in Sonic 2, or two, because the fanbase would complain about it. Or both. Either one is possible.

Overall, the Japanese soundtrack is generally regarded as better than its American counterpart ...

The Japanese/European track is pretty good, but personally, I've always preferred the American one, since that's the one I grew up listening to. I was hoping that they'd finally find a way to include both soundtracks in the game, giving players an option to choose which one they'd like to hear throughout the game, but I guess not.

Even if it were to get released in America, I probably wouldn't buy it. It's way too expensive for my taste.

compare the paint scuffs on his shoes in both that new render and the render leaked through the sonic channel from back then, that render is based on the exact same shadow model, but in a different pose

This game just looks more and more amazing after every new piece of footage that's shown. Also, as a diehard Chaotix fan, you just don't know how pleased I was to hear that Door Into Summer remix at the beginning.
