That's an awesome find. Sadly, this seems to run on very few emulators other than Mupen64 at the moment.

Also, there's now a mod that replaces Fox with Sabre:

Supposedly, Miyamoto's entire reason for suggesting the conversion, is because he thought that Sabre resembled Fox. While the two characters sound the same (since they're voiced by the same guy), they honestly don't look all that much alike. This seems like a case of grasping at straws to me.

on the side, pokemon also jumping the open-world zelda bandwagon with a feudal-era prequel centered around arceus

what ultimately became the swan song of rare's nintendo days before microsoft swiped them right after this ultimately was hastily retooled for the gamecube and launched in the form of star fox adventures, 2 years after this build's date, this one appears to be a late build already well in the transition into the star fox franchise, indicating that the transition started earlier than most thought

its a wonder how sparkling zone got as far as it did to survive in a demo prototype build to be reviewed by the media before sonic team realized it as an epileptic mess and rather underdetailed for what should be expected from a 16-bit platform of those days

also there's data from 2/90 leftover in it
Announcements / Happy New Year -- 2021!
« Last post by Samui on Jan 01 2021, 03:13 PM »

Congratulations to everyone who has survived 2020! That was literally one hell of a year. Here's hoping this year will be awesome, and things start going back to some form of normalcy.

I'm not going to lament about the things I didn't accomplish last year. Getting through the year was an accomplishment on its own. And hey, I did some stuff. I picked up a couple more games to speedrun, I've updated this site to have a more modern layout, and I made a tiny bit of progress on .para//Bound. So that's something.

Goals for this year? I haven't completely decided, so here's a small list of what I want to do.

  • Make even *more* progress on .para//Bound. At least something substantial to show off.
  • Learn to speedrun Gunstar Heroes, Ristar, and Tanglewood
  • Finish Sonic Adventure 1, learn the Tails speedrun of that
  • Get through my ever-expanding backlog of games.
  • Continue working on Digital Dimension and Kitsuria Chronicles.
  • Improve this site's theme, add some variants as well.

Got some other stuff I want to do, but that's pretty much it. Here's hoping for an awesome year!

By the way, I had a hard time deciding on the image to use for this post, because 2020 was... 2020. So here's the original one I slapped together:

Happy noot year!
Announcements / some updates

So glad this year is almost over. Barely got anything done at all, but that's okay. I'm getting to it. Here's some stuff going on.

I finally got around to setting up the new theme that should work well in mobile browsers. Decided to stick to the Kitsuria 3 color scheme (and banner) for now until I get around to doing some other variants. I've removed Pets and Inferno for now, and am still setting up the SMF Battle mod. Not sure how well that will work out, but we'll see. I've also removed the Arcade because Flash support is ending after next month.

I've been trying for a more consistent schedule - Mondays and Tuesdays, I do my speedruns, and Fridays I play IWBTG fangames. Still trying to stick to it, but at least I'm doing Mondays and Tuesdays more often in a given month.

Also, this month, I'm participating in two events. This weekend is the Fastest Furs Fall Festival, in which I'll be running Sonic 3 & Knuckles, Tails NG+. Schedule can be seen here. Next week, I'll be racing against others in Sonic 2 for its 28th anniversary. So that will be fun.

I haven't forgotten it. Just trying to get inspiration and motivation. I'll hopefully have something more to show.... soon?

Aaaand, that's all I can think of for now.
