sheesh I hate the UK >.< I didn't bother buying a tv licence as it would of only been needed for my own room at Uni and i KNEW i wouldn;t of been watching tv. There's a tv in the living room and its comunal and comes with free licence, so i thought yeah thats fine...
I come back to uni today after 5 weeks at home and find a stupid letter stuck on my door -.- Appaantly I;ve been watching free live tv in my room, but I don't see how?! I have no tv! and my laptop is so old any media file just kills it!! So nowI;ve gotta wait till monday, ring up and try to to explaint heye got it wrong or be fined £150 which i really really eally don't have!!
Sheesh the stress! and to make it worse apparantly they' scheduled to come check out my room!! -.-;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

sounds like it sucks hard
i think it's your laptop because its possible for a computer to recieve television signals off the internet, but as you say it's crap old
well maybe during those 5 weeks, someone else might've made temporary use of your dorm, brought a tv in and watched it in there
otherwise, I don't really know how you might've offended it

A TV licence isnt a license to watch TV as such, its basically a license to own one and have it connected to an arial. The TV Licence basically pays for the BBC

yeah well... all sorted now -.- rang them up and they were 'sorry' to be honest the gy was a jerk on the phone and I highly doubt that
