Suburbia Syndrome

How many of you know what suburbia is?

For those of you who answered "the suburbs", you're dead wrong. Suburbia is that sprawl of confusing mazes of subidivision streets and rows and rows of identical houses.

If you answered "an incredibly contageous disease" or "An evil creature of unknown origin", you're right on the money. Suburbia is slowly destroying the American, perhaps just plain human, way of life, which I don't even believe in it to begin with, and I'm still opposed to it. Why should terrorists bother with chemical or biological weapons? All they have to do is buy up some construction company and start building subdivisions. I call this condition the Suburbia Syndrome

These subdivisions are slowly poisoning America's youth. It's a worse problem then the losing war on drugs. Once you move into Suburbia, there's no escaping the virus. You become... "one of them". These people, they're no longer human. It has nothing to do with considering certain racial groups inhuman, it has to do with what Suburbia does to the inhabitants.

It warps their mental state and brainwashes them into becoming it's servants. Not long after, their entire DNA structure changes. All these people do from now on is hold block parties, mow their lawns, and wax their cars. And may whatever deity you believe in have mercy on anyone who intrudes on the the so-called sanctity of Suburbia. They shall meet with a hellish backlash from what I in my studies have dubbed the "Entity"

The "Entity" is in my opinion, the brain of the creature, call it what you will. It is this being that rests within the heart of Suburbia. It controls all the other little worker drones (read: the residents). All the suburbanites are part of a "hivemind", and the "Entity" is the controlling part of the "hivemind", much like a queen bee or ant.

To my knowledge, there is no sensor built by humanity that is capable of detecting the "Entity". Not only that, but I'm not sure we've even built a weapon that can even combat such a threat that has covertly taken over our communities and infected our fellow peoples. Ever heard the saying "when it rains. it pours"? Well, the news gets worse. Suburbia is slowly expanding. The real estate developers that they control are slowly demolishing open fields and forests to build more subdivisions, I have seen this myself. Land that was once miles of farmland as far as the eye can see reduced to nothing more than acres and acres of subdivisions.

Call me crazy if you want, I don't care. I've written 3 essays about this online and have been ridiculed or ignored with each and every one. (not to mention they were all deleted as "spam") I just want someone to listen to me before it's too late. It's not like the military or the CDC would believe something like this. To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if this whole thing was a military project.

In my personal opinion, terms like "quarentine" and "final option" come to mind as solutions.

Indeed. This is quite true. It wouldn't be happening so much, if humans could actually control their rate of population-growth.
Also, I have seen the entty with my own eyes. It's this HUGE grey hand that reaches down from the sky, and... Wait a second... Never mind, wrong thing...
Home
Returning from somewhere, to someplace safe
And for once as you watch the color of the sunset as it paints the walls
And you are not living in a memory; you are vital and alive, you are at peace; you are godlike
And you are safe, and that moment will last in a place in your mind
And there is no pain, and you forget what it feels like
And you can see, how it could be

I'm still more paranoid about the 1984 syndrome (you know, big brother is watching and all that good stuff)

Screw light and darkness, I want a piece of both worlds.

I kinda think that suburbia syndrome is a subjective condition. albeit one that's more easy than not to fall into, I know about the block parties you speak of but. to tell the truth that isn't my cup of tea I either need to be deep in the cement jungle or in the big wide open to feel comfortable, but then again i chalk that up to the whole thing being a subjective parasite. who chooses hosts based on their level of sedentary habits.

And the sad thing is, I can see people fall to it and i can see the people who have succumbed to it as well, but as with every thing else suburbia syndrome will see it's own rises and declines.

personally those who suffer from it will make it easier for me to succeed and get things that i want, be cause sadly I'm one who just can't be happy with the status quo.  never have never will, it's just the way I've come to be
Can you catch me?  chase me through the moon lit shadows. to catch me is to find insanity, to embrace me is to embrace destruction.[/color]

Killing individuality makes a bigger profit.
And profit is what rules America.
Suburbia is what the corporate entities want. Easy to control, easy to understand. Easy to market and herd like the cattle the residents unknowingly are.

the corporations are watching what you buy, when you buy it and how often. They make up plans to maximize their profit from your "type" of people.
We are already being monitored. And with every year, we get less and less privacy from the soulless machines that exist only to make money.

It's pretty funny how little the governments in the world has to say in the matter.

As I said to my mother when she called the bailout plan socialism, the corporations already own the government, so of course they get their way.
