Wow, it's been ages since I've last started a thread in the Rant forum. The last two threads I made were about Sonic Gems Collection back in 2005, and a thread about some idiot from the Sonikku.com forums (which no longer exists) making up stories about Sonic characters being real, or whatever. However, the former topic was more of a rant than the latter one. Anyway, to get to the point, this topic is about the
MarioWiki community.
This rant is about the kind of treatment I've gotten over the months by a select few people. Those people being
Shyguy27,
Pokemon DP, and to some extent,
ChaosNinji. It's mainly the latter two that I truly have a problem with. Let's start with Shyguy27. He's someone I've known ever since I first registered at that forum over a year ago. We would often have arguments/debates about certain subjects in Mario games, or whatever. We disagreed about a lot of things, and eventually grew into "bitter enemies", as he put it. I was able to tolerate him for a while, until some certain posts he made in
this thread made me blow a fuse:
I'll respect him when he stops acting like a god damned noob all the time.
Apparently, posting stupid topics in a forum made specifically for spam, means that I'm a "noob". So, I question him, and this is his response:
"Well there's also the fact that you take DBZ seriously, still think over 9000 is funny, and loved SPM's plot, but posting in Mindless Junk so much doesn't help either."Well, isn't that just wonderful? Basically, in a nutshell, he hates me solely because I have different preferences from his own. That post clearly demonstrated just how much of a prick he is. Ah, well. Whatever. Screw him. It's nothing I'll be losing any sleep over."
Now, onto Pokemon DP. When I first met him/her last year, he/she wasn't that bad. We had friendly discussions about games like Luigi's Mansion, Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, and the character, Dimentio from Super Paper Mario. Now, to get to the point, it wasn't until recently (up to my knowledge) that he/she became such a condescending prick. I honestly don't know how that happened. My guess is that Shyguy27's hatred of me has rubbed off on him/her (since the two of them are friends and everything). In fact, it's actually gotten to the point where Pokemon DP is even worse than he is. In fact, he/she literally
went out of his/her way attack me for no apparent reason in another thread. It didn't stop there, either. He/she followed me into
other threads to dish out personal attacks, as well. At that point, I had enough, so I wanted to know what his/her deal was. We got into a little squabble, and he/she eventually
apologized. Everything was cool after that, until I recently paid a visit to the
Xephyr Board after not posting there in quite some time. Then what do I find?
Pokemon DP talking behind my back, even after issuing an apology not too long from then. I would have responded to that if it weren't two months old.
Oh, and lastly, ChaosNinji. I don't have quite as much of a problem with him as I do with the other two. In fact, I've even gotten along with him somewhat in the past, but for some reason, in
this thread, he decided to post something like this:
"Every time I see one of these things where to take anything that you find even remotely funny and devote an entire topic to it, whether it's a quote or a video or whatever, I feel like banning you a little bit more."Honestly, what the hell? There are several people who've created topics in the Mindless Junk forum that are equally as pointless as the threads I've started (or probably even more), and yet those were never given a second glance.
I don't normally care that much about being hated/disliked over the internet, but it's gone on for far too long. The kind of treatment I've gotten from these people makes absolutely NO sense, considering the fact that I've never done a
damn thing to either one of them, and yet I still have idiots like DP (whom I hardly even know that well in the first place) scrutinizing every post I make, just to pipe up with a bunch of snide comments.
There, I had to get that off my chest. It was really starting to weigh on me a bit.
