Title: I am not Shaun Shredman, so stop.
Post by: Samui on May 15 2008, 09:32 PM
Every fucking day now, I get a call from this company, the number is 408-762-7278. They're calling to collect debts from this one guy named Shaun Shredman or whatever the last name is. I don't pick up because I know it's not a human on the other end. But they leave voicemails, with NO option to get in touch with a human being to tell them to quit it.

Any advice? I am considering changing my cell phone number, but if there's an easy way to get this company to shut the fuck up, that would be even better.

I know. Though it's probably like "Schwingman" or "Swingman" or something. Regardless, he's more than likely a deadbeat.

I called these people up a couple weeks ago, and told them that my number no longer belonged to him. They haven't called since.

This is still a problem, apparently. I got woken up yesterday morning at 8am by a phone call. I didn't pick up, but they left a voice mail. They were talking so quiet, like mumbling, so I couldn't understand what the fuck they were saying. But apparently, it's Carmax Auto Finances, and Shaun owes them money. I tried to call saying that they got the wrong number, but you need to have an account with them to even get through part one of their phone tree.

I can't change my number now. It's on so many job applications. So, I'll have to be up at the right time so I can cuss them out.

Unrelated, but quite amusing: 3 hours later, I get a call from Primerica Financial Services for a job interview. What position it is, I don't know. I'll have to find out on Thursday. I knew it was for me because they mispronounced my name in the most common way.
