Title: pokemon B2/W2
Post by: Yerix on Feb 25 2012, 06:43 PM
better than gray

all that's known is that kyurem will get 2 alt forms, basically fusions of itself with reshiram and zekrom, and will release in japan this june on the DS

the US site also announced it but without a release date yet, i'm betting it'll be less than 6 months of localization time since they'll probably just be copy-pasting things off B/W

time to save import money again

I wonder how many new Pokemon they'll introduce for this game. Since it's finally a direct sequel to a main game, with an actual "2" stuck to it, maybe there's won't be any at all? My guess would be a couple new evolutions to some classic Pokemon and some new ones. I'd say give or take 50 new.

keldeo+meloetta movie crap

http://www.dotup.org/uploda/www.dotup.org2855389.jpg (http://www.dotup.org/uploda/www.dotup.org2855389.jpg)
- 2 years after the events of B/W, unova's became surrounded in ice (of course, kyurem must've done it! it's gonna set off another ice age!)
- everything across the skyarrow bridge has been frozen over in said ice, along with most of the northern and eastern part of the region, it seems we might be able to explore on the ice
- desert route between castelia and nimbasa has became more developed
- the moat surrounding the entralink area dried up
- start from a town in a part of unova not used in B/W

http://www.dotup.org/uploda/www.dotup.org2855392.jpg (http://www.dotup.org/uploda/www.dotup.org2855392.jpg)
- akuroma (white suit guy, looks like max headroom w/ some weird blue hair thing)
- shizui (water gym leader, seems to be a surfer/scuba diver type)
- homika (poison gym leader, a rocker punk)
- rival
- player trainers

http://www.dotup.org/uploda/www.dotup.org2855386.jpg (http://www.dotup.org/uploda/www.dotup.org2855386.jpg)
- black kyurem gets freeze shock, white kyurem gets cold flare, too bad the moves suck dick (one-turn charge ala sky attack, razor wind, etc) because reshiram's and zekrom's sig moves are actually metagame-worthy
- unova dex expanded to 300, to include some old-gen pokemon
- pokemon sprites seemed to have not changed from B/W

Quote
Iwata: By the way Mr.Masuda, a little while back you mentioned “a little something” that you couldn’t fit into Black and White. Just what is it?
Masuda: It’s a little something involving a ‘key’ of sorts that you obtain after clearing the game. In contrast to this, the other game is built to unlock this so called ‘key’. Thus, when you play the other game you get a different kind of impression.
Iwata: When you obtain this ‘key’, your motivation to play and experience changes then doesn’t it.
Masuda: Yes. Akin to a ‘key that unclocks [a] strong Pokémon’, once you’ve finished one game we wanted to make it so that you can play the second with a different depth.
Unno: For example, if there was a kid who can’t quite clear the game, a strong player might say “I’ll give you a hand”, and use the ‘key’ to change the world for him. In this sense, the way that the Pokémon world expands like this strongly matches our concept of “complimenting”. Though this feature itself was something I had heard of before the creation of our theme of “complimenting” each other’s games.
Iwata: In other words, when you eventually came up with the theme of “complimenting”, you found that the little inclusion that Mr.Masuda had put forward was actually already the very embodiment of it.
Unno: Yes that’s right. In fact it was all a little too perfect *laughs*
Iwata: All a little too perfect indeed *laughs*

hmm...must be for some co-op crap
