Hi. My name is YellowGiant, and I am a visual designer by trade. My role in the Pokemon Franchise is minor, but has grown as of late to include actually aiding the development of the central games. I don't design the Pokemon, characters, or anything like that, but rather I am an assistant when it comes to designing the 3D models that GameFreak has begun to utilize in the recent games. My first big project was aiding the development of the PokeDex 3D App models, basically more of a clean-up member of the crew rather than a main modeler. I looked things over and such, along with other lesser members of the team.
Regardless, I am quite excited to share a bit of preliminary information regarding the new games that I know on here, because this is my first major retail game I've worked on, and since the game will be revealed in a few days, I thought I'd drop a few hints among the English speaking Pokemon community to get you guys hyped up. No proper names, of course, but general bullet points of what you guys can expect. I don't know how much of this information is being released next week, although I know they're going to reveal the titles at least, and a New Pokemon, but I'm unsure if game screen-shots will appear. It's up to you if you want to believe this or not, but here's what I can tell you if you choose to believe me.
* They are launching Three Versions simultaneously, collectively being called "Pokemon Trinity", but you'll have to wait to learn the names of the Versions themselves. There's more version exclusivity than ever before, and little cosmetic differences scattered about, but the focus here is not for an individual to buy all three...rather they're encouraging global and local trading more so than ever before.
* The game is in full 3D, although many of the backgrounds mix in hand-drawn models like old N64/PS games did, think of like the drawn backgrounds in Final Fantasy VII-X for an idea of what it looks like. All the characters and Pokemon, the ones used in PokeDex 3D, have models. Because of this, they're introducing trainer customization...players can now edit skin color, clothing, etc. for their own touch.
* The 3Ds is utilized in multiple ways...pressure-based (no more holding a button to run!) free-form movement as opposed to grid-based, utilization of QR codes and AR cards for various functions, and taking advantage of the improved Wi-Fi for some ambitious online play. The online functionality of this game is looking to be Nintendo's strongest output yet. GameFreak wants to make these the most social, globally-active Pokemon games yet.
* There's going to be a re-haul of various mechanics, although Gen V Pokemon can be transfered over, but may be "altered" in different ways as the system will adjust them to fit the new game-play elements. This includes restructuring of the type-chart, changed base stats, adjusted evolution levels, and simplifying the IV/EV system to appeal to both new and old players. All the old Pokemon are set to appear, but will be distributed greatly among the three versions. They're emphasizing trading, and using the 3DS, trading Pokemon with people around the world is easier than ever.
* Less plot-focused than previous games, more "free-roaming", but Gyms and the Evil Team still appear. It's an evolution of the Pokemon World (to fit in with the switch to 3D), as it's set after a major time-skip following Black and White 2...the new "Region" is actually a space colony reminiscent of those seen in anime such as Gundam and Nintendo's own Metroid. There's a large hub city which is the focal point of player-and-player interaction, and then multiple "biospheres" within the colony where Pokemon are raised, and where the Gym Towns are located. The biospheres open up as players obtain badges, leading to new free-roaming areas with more Pokemon. This setting, and the time skip, is being introduced alongside the changes in game-play elements to usher in a new "dimension" of Pokemon, you could say.
* A new Type is being introduced, called "Digital", but that's the translated Japanese name and it may be different when localized. Digital-type is "neutral", no weaknesses, resistances, immunities, but when it's the secondary type (there's only one planned Pure Digital), it doubles the weaknesses/resistances of the base type. Fire/Digital is 4X weak to Water, 1/4th resistant to Ice. There are many new Pokemon being introduced, not as many as Unova, including a handful of Digital-types and plenty of new evolutions of old Pokemon that have appeared following the time skip. Due to this, they'll be new evolutions that occur naturally.
* The mascot of the game is the only Pure-Digital Pokemon, it's actually the successor to Eevee...it doesn't evolve from it in-game, but was constructed using Eevee as a base. It resembles Eevee, except more reptilian and sleeker. It'll be debuting in the Eevee Mini-Movie, and is set to be revealed next week alongside the titles since it's a major player within the game. It's actually the lone Starter Pokemon, and all players start with it...its three, branching evolutionary forms are actually the Box Mascots as well. Utilizing the 3D models, this Pokemon has a unique and ambitious evolution system where its look will slightly alter depending on how you raise it, meaning that each player will end up with their own version of it more or less.
...this Pokemon has a unique and ambitious evolution system where its look will slightly alter depending on how you raise it, meaning that each player will end up with their own version of it more or less.
New region is divided between Northern forests/mountains and southern coasts / plains.
2 new villain teams
Yveltal and Xerneas are based on yatagarasu and shishigami respectively
The 2 legendaries represent North and South
The 3rd "Z" legendary is based on a shachihoko
New eeveelution is flying type
Fennekin line = Egyptian
Chespin line = military / soldier
Froakie line = wizard
1. Small dolphin with clown face paint (no clown nose) and a striped hoop around its belly. (summary says it gets 1 evo)
2. A bird that looks very similar to a plover, mostly white body with black stripes, forming something like a hashtag on both sides of the body. Also stripe across eyes. (summary says 2 evos)
3. A fluffball with only small legs and a nose sticking out of it (cannot see eyes). This is the new rodent, but the animal it is based on is neither associated with fluff or Europe. (summary says 1 evo)
4. A small kangaroo with a battery-pouch and two hammer-like hands. Its tail is spiraled (no obvious lightning marks on its body) (summary says 2 evos)
A nymph (Greek: νύμφη, nymphē) in Greek mythology is a minor female nature deity typically associated with a particular location or landform. There are 5 different types of nymphs, Celestial Nymphs, Water Nymphs, Land Nymphs, Plant Nymphs and Underworld Nymphs
Xerneas is Psychic/Rock
Yveltal is Ghost/Flying
The starters final evolutions are
Grass/Flying: Chespin is based off some fruit(?) or something he said think of a mammalian Garchop
Fire/Psychic: Fennekin, as he said, looks kinda like Ninetails but with "Lotus-shaped" ear fluffs and one tail
Water: Froakie will evolve into a giant horned toad with white fluff covering parts of it's body.
6 Legendaries, 10 pre-evo's, and around 20 evolutions to older Pokemon with Pinsir getting a baby form and an evolution.
Besides Xerneas and Yveltal the other 4 are a quartet I believe they're referencing the Saint Beasts of Asian Lore, yet taking liberties. Bird, Dragon, Reptile, and Tiger. For the game there's a Cobra, Tiger, T-rex, and Peacock. All have a different symbol from commons card like a spade or diamond, ect.
Happiness is replaced with Bonds, Pokemon that evolve through happiness now evolve through Bonds while Umbreon and Espeon are getting items to evolve them. Sylveon is pure normal and levels up through Bonds.
"Darumaka Split-Evolution. Turns into a snowman-looking ape, with little orange spots running down its chest, and its eyebrows are duller flames. Fire/Ice.
The last three Pokemon before the Legendaries are Dark/Electric. They seem to be based on "star life cycles", as the first one is little and star-shaped, the second one is huge and spherical, and the final one is more humanoid with vortex shapes on its body. They look powerful, so I'd guess they fulfill the BST 600 layout
there is a Farfetch'd evolution, but it's pretty disappointing. Farfetch'd doesn't evolve, the LEEK itself grows into a cool sword-leek with a little (\___/) face on the end. Honestly I'm still wondering if the LEEK is a new Pokemon and it's a Mantine-Remoraid situation where Farfetch'ds model incorporates it or what. And then there's odd choices, like Sawk and Throh both seem to get one that look like Fist of the North Star rejects"

"Region is very large, probably the largest thanks to the 3DS extra space, and is indeed based on France, with some of the Scandinavia peninsula located at the top of the map. I'd say the game is decently "open", but there's a solid order of Gyms, but enough side areas that you're not being pushed forward. The most striking thing about the Region from looking at the map is all the rivers flowing through the Region, but don't fret, there's not a lot of required Surfing. Speaking of which, HMs are still in, but none are required to get through the main campaign."
masuda has a "special message" on the 4th
I had been assigned to work on a special project we referred to at the office as "Project Kantrii". It was considered to be top secret and was scheduled for reveal sometime in Winter season of 2013 with a projected release date sometime for Summer 2014. The actual title of the project was set to be "Pokemon Rakuen No Kuni" for the Wii U console. It designed to be an open world for exploring similar to that of Legend of Zelda in which the players work together with various Pokemon characters to win games and events and unlock more and more of the world to explore for completing those tasks. Players will be able to make full use of the Wii U system capabilities and will be able to compete with other players around the world simultaneously during the game. It is really a fun experience we were exited for!
The Wii U Pad will be utilized as a map during the exploration segment and can be switched to menus and other things during the game segment, but also can be used to communicate with other players to share tips and secrets about the game. One thing we really wanted to work for in this game was to make a game where everyone could work and play together to explore a big world with many things to do.

"In the Pokemon series up until now, there has been a limit on how many times each Pokemon could evolve. However, Mega Evolution is a different kind of Evolution, one that surpasses that limit. Mega Evolution is described as an Evolution beyond all Evolution, a transformation found only in the Kalos region. It has also been called the greatest mystery of Pokémon."
•Charizard, Blastoise, Gengar, Kangaskhan, Pinsir, Jynx, Gyarados, Aerodactyl, Mewtwo
•Ampharos, Scizor, Houndoom, Tyranitar, Heracross
•Gardevoir, Absol, Medicham, Banette, Latias, Latios, Aggron
•Abomasnow
Following on from Pokkén Fighters & Pokkén Tournament trademarks discovered last week, it has been discovered that The Pokémon Company has registered several new trademarks. These trademarks are PokéTretta Battles, PokeTretta Tournament, PokéFigure and PokéFigure Arena. Like all trademarks, they cover everything from video games, to arcade machines, to keyrings and many trademarks go unused so it's hard to say if these will be used. However, Pokémon Tretta is a successful arcade game in Japan, and recent had a companion title released on the Nintendo 3DS
124 new Pokémon
45 Mega Evolutions
Mega Evolutions will not take up a spots in the Pokedex
Kalos will have more legendaries than any other region
Mewtwo will have another form other than his Mega Evolution
There will be compatibility with old games, but not in the same way you're used to
There will be plenty to do post-Elite Four like in Gold/Silver
Yveltal represents death, so it will most likely be censored in Western markets
Mega Stones will be distributed via DLC
We will see a return to Hoenn very soon
...it also showed a battle where Mewtwo Mega Evolved while promising a shocking revalation about Mega Evolution, but they covered up the result of the evolution, with the host Shokotan seeming shocked.
"Aspent. It's a Poison-type "Desert Snake" Pokemon, basically a maroon cobra with gold stripes and a little Egyptian Pharaoh hood. It has Intimidate as an Ability, and a new Normal-type move named "Serpent Dance", which confuses the user while lowering the foe's Attack and Speed. In the overworld you can now see certain Pokemon, some will run away from you, some will stand still and let you walk up to them, while others will chase after you, with Aspent popping out of the sand in areas and chasing after you. It is described as being a dangerous desert-dwelling Pokemon that performs a strange, twisting dance that lulls its prey into a false-sense of security."
"* Poirre. It's a Water/Rock-type "Gushing" Pokemon, it resembles a large gray, finely carved fish statue like the kind you see on fountains, with a wide mouth that's shooting out water skyward, even in the art it's shown shooting water out. It has Drizzle as an Ability, and learns very few moves besides Water Gun, but is said to shine in Double Battles. Using its new Water-type move, "Healing Spring", it is able to continuously heal it and its partner for three turns but, on the downside, it is unable to use any moves or switch out. It is described as being a sedentary Pokemon that gets rid of its excess body water by spraying it out of its mouth for hours at a time, with nearby Pokemon gathering around it for hydration.
* Grimmwood. This is the English name of "Orotto", the Pokemon seen in Japanese trailers beforehand, known as the "Deep Woods" Pokemon. It is Grass/Ghost, with Stall as an Ability. It knows Ingrain, and often appear in Horde Battles with other Grimmwood, using Ingrain to continuously heal and prolong the fight. They also learn a new Poison-type move known as "Poison Apple", which heals the foe's HP then badly poisons them. It is described as being strange Pokemon that grow in large groups in areas where wars took place in the past, and move around in order to confuse travelers who pass through the woods they live in.
* Espurr. It's a Psychic-type "Roaming Cat" Pokemon, a chunky purplish cat with black star marks decorating its body, and pointy ears like a witches-hat. It has Infiltrator as an Ability, and has Swift as one of its moves. Espurr appear in certain towns, including Lumiose, at night and will run away if approached by a trainer. To catch them, you need to utilize your skates and back them into a corner so you can battle them. It is described as a foreboding Pokemon that gather around human settlements, and are said to be associated with strange occurrences."
"* Meowstic. It's a Psychic-type "Familiar" Pokemon, the evolved form of Espurr, with a stronger witch motif has its ears are taller and pointier, and its tail resembles a broomstick. Its body is pure-black with purple star marks, and inverse of its pre-evolution. Its Ability remains as Infiltrator, and learns Moonlight, as it is a Pokemon that is stronger when battling at night. It evolves from the mischievous Espurr by playing with it in Pokemon-Amie and getting on its good-side. It is described as being a fiercely loyal Pokemon with powerful magic that follows its Trainer's will to the fullest, but will hiss and scratch if any human besides its Trainer attempts to touch it.'
"* Staeger. It's a Bug/Flying-type "Stag Beetle" Pokemon, it's a copper-colored stag beetle with a folded up body and larger pincers, it resembles a "spaceship" a bit with its wing spread out. It has a new Ability called "Air Strike", which powers up its attacks when used against Flying and Levitating Pokemon, thus it is said to be a very powerful Pokemon when used in Sky Battles with "Aerial Ace" and "Bug Bite" as attacks. It is also said to evolve when it masters Sky Battling. It is described as a fierce hunter that never lands on the ground when chasing after its prey, but is docile when drinking sap from trees."
"* Beettallion (Armored Mode). It's a Steel/Flying-type "Metamorphic" Pokemon, a larger metallic stag beetle with little turrets on its back, once more it looks a lot like a futuristic "spaceship" with "Shell Armor" as an Ability. It has strong defenses, but loses some of its Speed and Attack. It learns a Bug-type move known as "Metamorph", which allows it to Mode Change into Strike Mode, which is Bug/Flying and has a more humanoid, mecha beetle look who wields its horns like swords. Furthermore, Strike Mode lowers it defenses, but regains its Attack and Speed as well as regaining Air Strike as an Ability. It cannot change back after using Metamorph. It is described as being a natural Pokemon that evolved a method of transforming its body in order to keep up continuously evolving prey, and thus can adjust to changes in battles.
* Reangil. It's the Pokemon that was seen in the Nintendo Direct, a Fairy/Dragon-type "Nevermore" Pokemon. It has a new Ability known as "Fog Horn", which creates a mysterious fog wherever it appears which lowers the Accuracy of all Pokemon including itself. It has a new Fairy-type move known as "Dragolance", which does Dragon-type damage to foes. It is described as being a Pokemon that appears in many ancient Fairy-tales and shows itself to those who believe in it, and is said to live for exactly 100 years."
"There are also four Mega Evolutions shown...
* Mega Mewtwo (Pure Forme). In addition to Mega Mewtwo, a second Mega Evolution of Mewtwo exists which is much smaller and friendlier looking, with its tail wrapping around its body. It is Psychic-type, and has "Magic Guard". It is said that Trainers who have proven themselves to have strong hearts may bear witness to this Forme that, while small, is rumored to possess extremely potent psychic powers.
* Mega Magcargo. It becomes Fire-type as it breaks out of its shell, resembling a larger fiery snail with the back of its body bubbling up with heat bubbles. It gains a boost in Special Attack and has Flash Fire as an Ability. It is described as its body raising to excessive temperatures that prevent it body from cooling down whatsoever.
* Mega Drifblim. It is Ghost/Flying, and its upper body swells to a larger size and it has six "arms" now instead of two, but mostly stays the same looking. The larger size gives it stronger Defense and Special Defense than before, and it has a new Ability, "Sky High", which prevents it from being grounded. It is described as its body swelling to massive sizes as it takes to the air to heights that most Pokemon are incapable of reaching.
* Mega Jynx. It is Ice/Psychic, and its body slims down and it has a more "hotter" look to it, with its hair turning an icy silver. Its slimmer size gives it more Speed, and it also has stronger Special Attack, and has Cute Charm as an Ability as it has an alluring look to it. It is described as using its Psychic powers to create a strange illusion that gives it a beautiful look that no Pokemon can resist. "

Trusk is a Grass/Rock boar Pokemon with long green tusks coming out of its mouth. He is gruff, has grey skin, and features green leaf-like ears. It has an “adorable” pre-evolution with tiny tusks and a leaf at the end of its tail.
A Normal/Poison porcupine Pokemon named Quillom can be found quite early in the game in the forest. It has white skin with light purple quills. He has a Poison-type quill attack which damages and has a high chance of poison.
A Ghost-type spider Pokemon is found in caves. It is dark gray with blue spots and multiple light grey eyes. It has a feint light blue mist around its abdomen. The source doesn’t remember the spelling of its name, but says it was something like “Apparachnid.” He thinks it may have an evolution.
There is a Ground-type badger Pokemon that is dark brown with black stripes going up its face. It knows Slash and a new biting move.
Reconfirmation that Froakie’s final evolution is Water/Fighting. It looks similar to a poison dart frog. The dark blue now takes over its body almost entirely. There are a few even darker (almost black) spots on his sides and face and it gains more of the bubble foam around its neck and down the back. It’s also a bit bulkier. It uses its hind legs a lot and has kicking attacks.
Bunnelby evolves into a Ground/Dark type rabbit that is larger and much rounder. Its color scheme is reversed, with the dark brown now being the prominent color. It can be found in caves. It is useful because you can get it early in the game and use it to evolve Pancham into Pangoro.
Helioptile has an evolution. It is bipedal with a second yellow triangle on its face. Its ears become more jagged and it looks meaner. On its back are what look like spikes with jagged parts at the very top. It can learn a new attack called Thunder Roll, where it rolls up like a wheel and strikes the opponent.
Reconfirmation that Meowstic has a pre-evolution named Espurr. There is no gender differentiation until it evolves. It is mostly white, similar to the female version, with cuter eyes and a single puffy tail. It has a little patch of fur under its head (similar to its evolutions). The fur is dark blueish with little tufts of white in it.
Other Pokemon that are now Fairy-type: the Chansey evolution line, Dunsparce, the Clefairy line, and Togepi’s line.
Fairy Dust is a new move that will randomly cause either Paralysis, Poison, Sleep, or Burn.
Like Magneton, Wailmer is part of one of the Super Training Facility games.
Team Flare makes an appearance right at the beginning of the game. On the TV in your house, one of its members talks about fashion and
how your Pokemon should match your style. Team Flare’s signature music has an eerie accordion sound to it in the opening sequence.
The outfit your character wears at the start is colored to match what you’ve set as your favorite color in your 3DS settings. It can be changed easily though.
The opening cinematic is in 3D. (Have to mention this since most of the game isn’t in stereoscopic 3D. :p) It starts off with Yveltal’s cry, which wakes you up. You sit up in your bed. It then pans and there is a shot of your city. Yveltal’s shadow goes over it. After that there is some other shots of your town. You seem amazed that you saw Yveltal. It then shows generic in-game shots like you entering a forest with your friends, selecting your starter, running through a cave, etc. After that it shows Sycamore welcoming you. You are standing outside of his lab at the time, then he takes you inside. It then shows him showing you three Poke Balls which leads into a transformation video where it shows all three Kanto starters evolving to their final forms, and then the three of them Mega Evolving. It’s a really cool cinematic. The video ends with Yveltal flying with the sun behind him, leading in to the title screen. Team Flare is also shown at some point in the sequence.
On the title screen you can use the analog joystick on your 3DS to change the angle at which you see Xerneas/Yveltal.
There is an ancient tablet pokemon with what look to be runes on it. It is ice/rock and can be found near a city with a windmill. It has the ability Flash Freeze which causes Pokemon to become frozen when they use a physical attack on it. The pokemon's name is Bitrunic and it knows the attacks rock smash and ice beam. It looks like a grey stone rectangular slab and the runes glow icy blue normally and red when it is attacking. It's eyes are two runes that are rectangles with diagonal lines that go through them.
The next is a steel/ghost type pokemon also found near the ruins that have bitrunic. It is known as the mirror pokemon. Named Flekter. Its pokedex entry says that it can trap a person's soul within the reflection. It does evolve into a broken mirror pokemon. I do not know the name of the evolution but it has a ghost like mist holding together broken mirror shards.
To get spewpa to evolve into vivillon, you have to shake your 3ds up and down while it levels up. You can do this at anytime once it is past level 16.
To get malimar, when inkay is leveling up past level 24, turn your 3ds upside down. Another thing to keep in mind is that you have to be surfing to do this.
There is a lady in Lumiose city who will give you a task once a day for a week. If you complete her tasks (it can be anything from showing her a certain pokemon or bringing her a certain item to showing her an evolved pokemon), she will give you an egg. This egg has a Skiddo in it. If you take the hatched Skiddo to her, she'll teach you how to ride pokemon. This isn't required to ride pokemon, but she gives you tips on jumping over ledges.
Pokemon-amie it a lot of fun to play and create bonds with your pokemon, however if you don't use it, your pokemon don't lose happiness. This is good because you don't have to use this feature. I can see this as being geared more towards girls.
Pokemon that can be found close to the starting area: quillom, bunnelby, scatterbug, fletchling, flabebe, pikachu.
The Togepi lineup loses its normal typing and becomes fairy type.
Metronome is now a fairy type move. There is a new move called Moon Dance that will raise a fairy type Pokemon's special attack. I mistook this for Lunar Dance earlier; sorry.
The day care center is near a bridge and has a river flowing behind it. You can now put up to four pokemon there. If you leave a pokemon there to breed, it's happiness will go down. If it gets too unhappy, it will no longer breed.
When you street pass someone you can see them on your PSS. You can also battle them in a place called the pokemon battle arcade (not to be confused with the battle arcade from the battle frontier).
Your friends don't believe you when you say you think you saw the legendary pokemon. Your rival (the male or female one that you didnt choose said they saw it too). Tierno says that you guys probably just dreamed it.
There are new types of pokeball, each with a different speciality. On has a yellow top with a lightning bolt on it. As you can imagine, it works well on electric pokemon. It is called the shockball.
The next is the ironball. It is all silver looking except a black band around the middle and a little indent on the top. Use for catching steel type pokemon but can also be good for catching heavier pokemon.
They are following the pattern of having two eeveelutions in this generation. I have seen the other and it is unexpected, but awesome. I won't say what type but it isn't dragon or poison like people are thinking.
Raichu gets a mega evolution. It turns brown with the orange/gold accents on its ears. Its speed and special attack are increased.
Tropius gets to mega evolve. It gains more back leaves and now has more coconuts hanging from its neck. Its physical attack is raised but its speed it lowered.
You can leave money with your mother again but you don't get annoying calls from her when she buys you stuff. Now you can leave her a shopping list and she will pick them up for you if she "finds a good sale".
The train tracks in the East of Kalos lead to a new battle frontier that is being "built" while the main story is happening. It presumably will be finished by the time you beat the elite four.
Shiny helioptile is a darker yellow, kind of orange-ish. This is the only shiny Pokemon I have encountered so far.
Talonflame doesn't evolve from Fletchling, there is a pokemon in between.
The save game function takes substantially less time than previous games.
On the main menu, these are the options: New Game, Continue, Mystery Gift, Streetpass Settings, Options, Wifi Settings.
Mega stones can be found in a caves through a new feature similar to the mining feature in D/P/P. Not the exact same way, but you use your stylus to break rocks. You don't always find something but you can get mega stones (in their raw forms, you have to take them to the fossil lab).
You can design your own clothes (not the shape or anything, but you can add patterns or Pokemon images onto them, similar to how Tierno has vanillite on his shirt). You have to have seen the Pokemon in order to get it put onto a shirt. I am not sure if you can put any Pokemon on a shirt, but so far many of the early Pokemon work.
The 5th gym is Dark type and the gym leader is tough!
Just caught an Apparachnid. I can confirm the spelling! There is an empty spot right after it in the Pokedex, followed by Bitrunic. My guess is that is does indeed evolve. Upon further inspection, it has six eyes and the bottom of it's legs are blue. It is Ghost/Poison. 8.6 lbs. It knows a new move: Venom Spit (Physical attack, 50 base damage, 100 accuracy, can poison) along with Bite, Acid, and Poison Sting.
P.S. - Wednesday September 25th is the next reveal date from Nintendo. I think they will either reveal the second eeveelution, mega Raichu, or helioptile's evolution.

Stats 600 group member Slaking, Salamence, Metagross and Garchomp are not registered in trademark actually, but Garchomp comes, so not sure Slaking, Salamence and Metagross.
this pic is really
the name is true
- There are over 100 Pokemon, I won't go into the exact number but it is more than 100 and a less then the 156 Pokemon of the previous games 'Pokemon Black and Pokemon White'
It's a good substantial amount of Pokemon that I'm highly sure that everyone will be happy with.
I won't reveal the names of these Pokemon in case I get in trouble so I'll just describe them!
- There are a lot of unique typing's that haven't been seen before! the best in my opinion being a Electric/Fire type!
- The Starters final evolved forms are of that, that has been rumored, Grass/Dark, Fire/Psychic and Water/Fighting.
- Chespin's final evolution - Grass/Dark is very round and spiky, lots of spikes all over it's body, its spikes are a sort of armor and it also holds a giant spike like a sword.
- Fennekin's final evolution - Fire/Psychic is very majestic looking, it now holds the stick it use to have as a Braixen and the flame on it is a lot bigger, it's tail is longer and more sleek, it's ears are very pointy and the fur in it's ears is longer with puffs at the end of it, it's fur is longer too, almost looking like a dress/gown of sorts.
- Froakie's final evolution - Water/Fighting is a lot more sleek and looks fast! it's almost completely dark blue and has black coloured spots on it's face, it has some white markings still but not many, the bubbles around it's neck is also longer.
- Swirlix can be found after the first gym it evolves into a pure Fairy Type, it looks more like a dog now and has a bigger tongue and drool dripping from it's mouth, it's paws/ears are larger and it has a swirl of 'fur' on it's had now and it's tail looks like a lollypop.
- Spritzee evolves into a Fairy/Dark type, it looks like a cross between a Flamingo and a human, it's quiet creepy actually...it has wings like Lugia's as in they're not shaped like wings but more like arms, it's beak is bigger with a black marking on the tip of it, it's eyes are more evil looking too. It has White feathers for a tail. It's now a dull Pink colour.
- A new Wolf Pokemon that is Ice/Normal type, it's soooooooooo cute! it's a little puppy with white fur and big bight blue eyes, it has 2 black marks on it's back and 2 black spots above it's eyes and a little black puffy tail, it evolves into a Ice/Dark type Wolf, much larger and more menacing, it still has it's bright blue eyes, it has dark gray fur and 2 white spots above it's eyes now, it's 2 black marks on it's back become spikes of fur with white tips, it's tail is bigger with a white tip also, it has 2 long fangs sticking out of it's mouth also.
- A new Fire/Rock type that looks like a little walking Volcano, has a similar appearance to Snorunt as in body shape, it evolves twice.
- A new Moth Pokemon, it's a Bug/Psychic type, it's little and cute, it has a white body with long yellow antennas and black wings with a yellow crescent on each wing, it evolves.
- You get given a Pokemon Egg from the daycare upon arriving, the man says that a trainer left their Pokemon there and when he came back he didn't want the Pokemon egg so you take it. It hatches into one of any of the pre-evolved Pokemon (Pichu, Elekid, Magby, Happiny, Togepi, Whynaut, Munchlax etc...)
- There are a total of 11 Legendary Pokemon.
3 Game Mascots, 5 Side Legend, 2 Event Legends and 1 Pixie Legend.
- The 3 Main Mascots have to do with Life/Peace and Death/Destruction and the 3rd being responsible for keeping things moving forward in the world (I'm not sure how to word that but things like beginning's and endings I think?).
- The 5 Side Legends have their own legend, 4 of them are 'brothers' and the other one is their 'noble steed'
- The 2 Event Legends have to do with the Past and Future, the Past one accidentally falls through time to present time and the Future one has something to do with coming from the future to stop an event that will destroy the Kalos Region.
- The 1 Pixie Legend has to do with bringing luck.
- Pokemon that become Fairy type are Marill, Azumaril, Mawlie, Jigglypuff, Wigglytuff, Cleffa, Clefairy, Clefable (All become pure Fairy type) Togepi, Togetic, Togekiss (All become Fairy/Flying minus Togepi) Dunsparce, Gardevior and the Chansey line.
- Some attacks that become Fairy Type are Sweet Kiss, Metronome, Moonlight, Swift, Charm and Wish.
- There ARE Pre-evolutions and Evolutions of past generation Pokemon, there's not as many as Generation 4 though. I won't say which Pokemon have them but there are a couple of fan favorites getting Evolutions which actually look really cool!
- All the previous generations starters get Mega-Evolutions, but a couple more Pokemon getting Mega-Evolutions are Raichu, Farfetch'd, Tauros, Dragonite, Steelix, Heracross, Miltank, Camerupt, Sharpedo, Tropius, Floatzel, Cherrim, Togekiss, Haxorus, there are a few others too.
- Not all starters mega-evolutions, mega-stones can be found in the game, this is probably to do with special giveaway events.
The Gym's types are Bug, Fairy, Electric, Fighting, Rock, Grass, Dark and Fire
The Elite Four's types are Normal, Flying, Water and Steel
The Champion uses mix types/the types left over (Ground, Poison, Ghost, Ice, Psychic, Dragon)
- 'Spike Barrage' is a Grass type attack that attacks the foe with spikes 1-5 times, it raises the users Attack and Defense but lowers it's speed.
- 'Belch' is a Poison Type attack, it causes damage and has a high chance of Poisoning the foe.
- 'Aqua Blade' is a Water Type attack, it slashes the foe with blades of water, it raises the Attack and Special of the user.
- 'Glow Punch' is a Fairy Type attack, it punches the foe with a fist of burning light, it can also cause confusion or can burn the foe.
- 'Fire Pulse' is a Fire Type attack, the user releases a blast of fire from it's body, it causes damage to all those on the field (Good for Horde battles) even the user gets damage, it however raises Attack and Special Attack of the user, it can also Burn the user and foes."
I'm not quite sure how long this post will last, but read for your own amusement and curiosity. BE WARNED, I have a copy of Pokemon X and I have beaten it. My best Pokemon right now is Dragonite, who I will show Mega Evolving, but I will not show it's Mega Form. The following is all of what I've discovered and think is significant to Pokemon players everywhere.
- Dragonite has a Mega Evolution, along with all of the starters and some pseudos. Arcanine, Steelix, Sharpedo, Floatzel, Togekiss, and Tyranitar are a few of which have Mega Evolutions.
- There are 8 gyms, Dark-type is one of them.
- There is another Eevee evolution that is owned by the Champion of Kalos. It is rivaled by the Eevee you train and evolve. Evolving it is mandatory to face the Champion, you are presented with Evolutionary Stones and methods of evolving Eevee while you are in Victory Road.
- There are very different areas in Victory Road, a Forest area (Grass, Bug, Poison, some Flying and multi-typed Pokemon), an Underwater area (Water and some multi-typed Pokemon), a Volcanic area (Fire, Steel, Dragon, and some multi-typed Pokemon), and if you go in the right direction, you will enter a Black-Void area (Ghost, Dark, and some multi-typed Pokemon). Outside of Victory Road you will find Fairy, Fighting, and Normal-Type Pokemon.
- The third mascot legendary is found underneath "The Giant Life", as opposed to Xerneas found at the bottom of The Giant Life, and Yveltal atop The Giant Life.
- I have seen all of the starters final evolutions', I'm sure everyone will be pleased with. Especially Froakie and Fennekins'.
- Pre-evolutions and Evolutions of past generation Pokemon return, along with new Middlutions that are exactly the same as Pre-evos and Evos, but effect an evolution line by introducing a Middle Evolution, rather than a Final or First Stage Evolution. A few Pokemon with Pre-Evos are Girafarig, Tropius, and Cubone. A few Pokemon will Middlutions are the Growlithe line, the Carvanha line, and the Combee line. A few Pokemon with Evolutions are Pinsir and Heracross, Dunsparce, and Farfetch'd, which was never too far-fetched at all.
- Combee now has a male evolution, called Bedrone, that looks almost too similar to Beedrill, minus the stripes. Yet it is a shade of orange and has three eyes that form a triangle shape. The antenna on Bedrone are large and there are specks of white hair around Bedrone's eyes. It's pretty cute. Bug/Flying type and has higher attack than a normal Vespiqueen.
- Team Flare is not alone, take that to heart!
- Mewtwo is catchable after beating the game.
- Characters from past games show up, and there are some shocking revelations.
That's all for now, but I will update with more if given the time and allowance.

It has been announced that within the show "The Professional" on Japanese channel NHK, there will be an episode featuring Tsunekaz Ishihara, the CEO of The Pokémon Company on October 28th. In it, it states that he was working on a game in the summer that is said to boldly tweak the Pikachu character. It's not currently known whether this is referring to Pokémon X & Y or a completely new game, but we'll provide details as and when we get them.
i'm not much into the TCG anymore, maybe i'll get all 3 for the statues
a new trademark has been found. This trademark is potentially a game and is called Great Detective Pikachu (名探偵ピカチュウ). While it's possible that this is not going to come to anything, as many trademarks go unused, this one is noteworthy due to the reveal of the detective game starring Pikachu last week.
I will probably scream if I see this at my store.
Pokemon TV exclusive? What does that mean?http://www.pokemon.com/us/tv-episodes/pokemon-episodes/
Hey guys and welcome to a Pokemon X and Y thread! Today I shall respond to Marriland's pretty awesome and fact-driven video titled:
"New Regions after Pokemon X and Y in Gen VI?!"
. I only want to refer to this video before continuing so please don't think I am trying to disprove anything that Marriland said in his video!
So to begin my theory we have to go to the Parfum Palace and explore a bit there! If you run around inside you'll find a tourist who states that the palace was built after Kalos won a war with neighbouring regions. Interesting, but when exactly was this war? Well opening the map and hovering your cursor over the Parfum Palace gives you the following statement: "A luxurious palace constructed 300 years ago by a king who wished to display his power to all". Well, due to the fact that Kalos is based on France and the location and architecture of the Parfum Palace is recognisable as the Palace of Versailles, let's look into some French history shall we? According to Wikipedia the Palace of Versailles is a symbol of absolute monarchy which means that one individual has unlimited power in his owned territory. So in this case we are referring to a King! And who started to order build the Palace of Versailles? Louis the thirteenth. But when he died in 1643 his successor Louis the fourteenth expanded the build and in 1697 the outer build was completed. The sole purpose was, like in Pokemon X and Y, for the King to emphasise his authority and power.
So what does this knowledge have to do with finding out where the new region will take place? Well if we have found even a minor link to "our world" then maybe we will find more clues! In the Parfum Palace you will find a tourist who explains when the castle was built! "This castle was built after Kalos won a war with neighbouring regions." Well if we can confirm the official completion year was around 300 years ago for the Palace of Versailles and for the Parfum Palace, maybe there was a war in that small timeline? And there was. It really depends how one defines the completion date of the Palace of Versailles. If the outer date is true (1697) then we must analyse the "Brulez le Palatinat" a massive slaughter which takes place on south-west Germany or an earlier victory of 1678 the "Franco-Dutch War" which soon escalates into a European War including Germany as well. If we where to state the interior completion date to be true (1710) then we'll have to look at the "War of Spanish Succession". But this isn't necessary! The French succeeded in the "Brulez le Palatinat" and "Franco-Dutch War", but lost the "War of Spanish Succession". Because the two palaces where built after victories and successful kings, it wouldn't make any sense! So our clue lies in either the Netherlands or Germany...
Well to answer the question we must hop back to the Kalos region and wander from town to town. In many towns you will find a Hotel. In the second floor you might be lucky and find a backpacker! Now he says something rather interesting: "The Kalos region is nice and all, but you should really check out my region!" Well to be honest that doesn't prove anything now does it? But let's pay attention to his clothing! His hair is black, his shirt is red and his backpack is yellow… That could be the description of either a Belgian or a German flag. But because the order is corresponding from top to bottom on the same order as the German flag, we could conclude that this is a referral to Germany!!! Not only that but geographically it makes sense also! If the war which is mentioned by the tourist is between neighbouring regions then the "Franco-Dutch War" is the only sensible option! There are many neighbouring countries of France involved including the Kingdom Germany!
A source that Dual Pixels has taken information from in the past, Geno, has claimed to have received information on the next Pokemon games. He claims that they will be dubbed “Pokemon Plus and Pokemon Minus” and has provided us with the following information. This comes from the same guy who leaked Castlevania: Mirrors of Fate being console bound, the Kingdom Hearts HD Remix, and countless information on E3. Not all of his rumors have come true. Despite this, a large amount of key ones have such as our leak about first and third party titles for E3 2013. Stay tuned as he has told us updates regarding this rumor are on the way.
>GameFreak were one of the first development studios inside Nintendo to receive Alpha-Prototype hardware, now have been upgraded to the Beta-Prototype hardware above.
>Have a few areas marked out, TONS of concept art traveling between Pokemon Company and Nintendo Co Ltd.
>GameFreak plans to completely overhaul the basic systems of battle, simplifying the process.
>The development team is “going to put a lot of ideas they have wanted to do for years in this game”.
>Two versions already have code names, possibly final: Pokemon Plus and Pokemon Minus.
>Theme is “Old Tradition VS New Exploration”
>New region, no name yet, is based on South East Asia with one large peninsula and many smaller islands.
>Three new starters with no names: Water evolves into Water/Steel and is a squat, teardrop shaped humanoid that has a jar filled with on its head as it evolves it grows taller and the jar bigger until it needs another set of arms to hold it on it’s head. Fire evolves into Fire/Fairy and is a tiny cute goat with fire blowing out of its horns, it’s horns and look evolves more menacing until it has curly ram like horns and a motorcycle hot-rod-like look. Grass evolves into a Grass/Electric and starts with a leap for a face with a nubby root as a body and evolves until it grows into an electric producing palm tree with each flower petal having a different face.
>The main legendary for Pokemon Plus is a Shi Foo Lion-looking Psychic/Ground-type that has multiple faces, the Pokemon Minus legendary is a Ghost/Fairy type that has two dashes for eyes and is a hurricane-like appendages with many arms and hands.
>More traditional Pokemon-like gameplay will be on the Handheld controller while an all new gameplay aspect will be on the Terminal unit.
>The “Pokken Fighers” render that was teased was running on Alpha kits, Beta kits now have advance cell shading. Going for very detailed “living anime” look.
>The new “Team” villains are described as a bunch of “Sohei Zelots”-types who have discovered the player’s best friend as a reincarnation of a special type of person who only is alive every 100 years. They believe the old system where people were given a Pokemon egg and they stick to that Pokemon until they die and who’s function in society dictate what role that person is. They are against the “modern” trend of Pokemon Trainers and capturing multiple Pokemon and are making a holy pilgrimage to evoke the old Legendaries to turn everything back to normal. They keep the player away from their friend, saying the special one (who can do amazing things like mega evolve Pokemon without the use of a mega ring) only love is that of Pokemon and not people. It is planned to be reveal later that for the special one to fulfill their role in society they must be mortally sacrificed to awaken the legendaries.
>Routes connection the island together are water bridges but clumps of island are connected together by underwater tunnels.
>There is a “Stone Slowking” statue that is a parody of the Reclining Buddha at Wat Pho, Thailand.
>Many Pokemon from Hoenn and Sinnoh will make a return.
>Variety of Pokemon Gyms, one is a mail system that only uses flying types and focuses on sky battles. One only uses baby Pokemon, one is implied to be a real vampire and uses Ghost and Dark Pokemon. There is also a military like leader who uses Fire and Steel Pokemon.
>The island gameplay with Gym Leaders and the Elite Four island can be played entirely on the Handheld and can be blown up on the Terminal for home play.
>New Pokemon Type similar to Shinies, no details yet on how they work but I’ve been told they “change the game significantly”.
>The “Mainland” is an MMO-like environment that is exclusive to the Terminal and is shared by both versions.
>Players all over the world online can chat, trade, intermingle and experience new-updated story lines on the mainland.
>Pokemon Band is a new mechanic introduced to get people involved who do not battle, a co-operative experience where Pokemon dance and make music together to achieve the highest group score.
>Pokemon Bank are actual locations on the Mainland and Handheld areas where people can import past Pokemon, mainly from Pokemon X and Pokemon Y into the new game.
It has been discovered that a new trademark has been registered by Nintendo, GameFreak and Creatures Inc. in Japan. This trademark is for PokéTouch (ポケタッチ), with the trademark being filed on November 14th 2013 and published on December 12th 2013.
Pokemon X Tekken. Roster of fighting types and humanoid Pokemon. Hawlucha/Lucario/Blaziken are the poster boys. Will be ready for Fall, unless delayed, but scuttlebutt is that it may be held off to give distance from Smash. Will use NFC.
)Pokemon X Animal Crossing is being announced for hype, but the intention is to release 2015. 3DS. You are a human who is transformed into Pikachu/Chespin/Fennekin/Froakie. Villagers are baby/basic Pokemon and other cute ones. Diggersby takes on Tom Nook role.
)Seaman: Mysterious Pet With The Human Face for 3DS. 2014. Sequel to Seaman.
)Glory of Heracles 3DS. 2014.
)Metroid Fracture 3DS Fall/Winter 2014. Intends to hit after Smash to one-two the hardcore audience on 3DS. 2.5D, Super Metroid art-style.
)Custom Robo and Starfy sequels coming to eShop. Franchises/developers deemed too small for retail. Custom Robo August, Starfy April.
)TGC Battle Simulator coming to Wii U. New cards will be readable via NFC for in-game play. Spiritual sequel to TGC GB games.
)Rhythm Heaven: 3Dance to be big casual title 2014.
)’X’ is Xenodoll in Japan. Treehouse rocked with laughter, apparently waiting on legal for final Western name.
)Steeldivers Subwars launching post-Direct. Strategic announcement to appease ‘IOS’ investors. F2P is great for players, lucky to make any money off it. Bosses apparently very worried about ripping people off. Too worried.
)Mii for Smash 4 announcement. JP will feature Iwata Mii footage, US Reggie, EU Shibata. Trailer will start with a Wii Sports Club Baseball fake-out.
)IntSys has Hikuoku for eShop, sequel to Crashmo for Wii U. Heard US name was Puzzmo. Still sounds dumb, but better then Puzzblox, poor EU. Players pull blocks from gamepad to fit inside a structure to reach goal.
)Dillion is coming to U eShop. Had bigger plans for franchise, but poor sales of sequel got them downgraded. Vanpool is on shaky ground after PMSS was poorly received in West.
)MK8 is launching April 3rd in JP. Shipments will be counted as Q4FY2014 – basically a business move.
)MK8 is eating resources at EAD. Over 140 people on staff, mostly old Pikmin/Nintendo Land people. E3 2013 build had ~13 months of dev time. Once done, bulk of staff moves to ACU and Zelda U. Bosses want one out for Christmas this year. Lots of sleepless nights.
)Zelda U is a bit of a mess due to Aonuma focusing on WWHD and ALBW. Miyamoto had to step in. No tea table flipping, just a casual reminder to the team what Zelda was about. Graphically it looks ok, but artists can’t keep up with production + constant dungeon layout changes. Gameplay uses 2-screen secret discovery gimmick that was for a scrapped new franchise. ALBW being received well has encouraged the team.
)SNES Remix is a possibility. NES Remix apparently already broke short term expectations. That’s Tokyo though, so may be more wishful thinking than knowledge.
)Old guard struggling with HD. What they think is fine, new grads and young staff say needs more time. This is what is delaying projects. G&W was supposed to be out 3 weeks after launch but graphically wasn’t ready. Bosses getting impatient, need software done yesterday.
Pokémon Bank has launched in certain Asian countries. (1/2)
Please stay tuned to our social channels for updates on availability in other regions, including North America. (2/2)

My verified source from Nintendo has informed and shown proof of an internal US marketing budget and scheduling overview for 2016 focusing on Wii U and 3DS, with key parts highlighting The Legend of Zelda NX to be a holiday 2016 release either same day at Zelda Wii U or shortly after during the Nintendo NX holiday 2016 launch window.
•Nintendo NX Launch games for 2016 besides Zelda NX and marketing focus remain hidden for now
•Wii U $34.5 million marketing budget for 2016 total – Zelda Wii U has $10 million with the possibility of the funding being switched to Zelda NX version depending on launch timing in 2016.
•3DS $56.25 million marketing budget for 2016 total
