Title: anti-cheating notice from JP website
Post by: Yerix on Jun 29 2013, 01:07 AM
mostly in reaction to unofficial PKM generator smartphone apps

well let me say this, if they want hackmons gone, they need to:

- eliminate IVs, or at least provide a way to "upgrade" them beyond influencing them in breeding. only 1 out of 1,073,741,824 pokemon are flawless assuming the RNG isn't abused, the best thing to do is tone down or eliminate this lottery-like element. natures can stay random.
if they were to eliminate them, all pokemon would have all 31's, and any past-gen pokemon transferred would be changed to having all 31's.

- make events global. lots of JP events like tohoku victini (w/ bolt strike and etc), nobunaga's shiny rayquaza and v-create rayquaza never had distributions outside japan.
and eliminate brick-&-mortar events, at least in the non-japanese world. not everyone lives near a toys r us or gamestop. a snippet of video game content isn't worth a drive to a location more than 20 miles from home.

they're putting a hack filter on the gen VI PGL and are having a test competition on it soon to test it

said hack filter was tested at this year's global showdown

i know there was no hack filter in gen V because i'd see hackmons in the dreamworld, like a hidden ability cyndaquil
