so after nearly 22 years, they went and japan-ized the yellow/blue logo that nearly the rest of not-japan was putting up with since 1998?

so "armored mewtwo" was given a japanese trademark and now the fanbase is exploding over rumors of "armored evolution"

we had armored mewtwo for decades
that armor actually suppressed its power, was just for that little portion of the movie, and was all team rocket's work

and then its rumored the first armored evos to be unveiled are mewtwo and charizard, whom already have 2 megas each

honestly i think they only did the trademark for merch and for promoting the movie1 remake

after radio silence it was announced we were to get a uniquo tie-in with the winning design of a pokemon t-shirt contest to appear as a clothing item in-game, and that clothing customization is returning

except the dumbass that won the contest absolutely thunderfucked the whole thing for himself and all parties involved in the contest because he already used the shirt's design for shit like phone cases

all winnings were forfeited and the whole contest was thrown in the fire

shitty dex leak

easy way to tell if its fake or not is if it has a dunsparce evo, also

"rewop" - how would a rotom evo work w/ appliances
"sumongous" - the naming convention is way off for a hariyama evo; the whole line is named for sumo rankings and jargon, a third form would probably use yokozuna as a basis

leaked sheet for gen VIII moncolles

here's the thing...except giratina, every box art legendary is here, then mewtwo (a given seeing as it has gen I stardom status and mew is confirmed as a ballplus bonus), arceus, and ultra necrozma

if this gives some indication on what will be in the galar dex, then ultra necrozma's possible inclusion is peculiar in the confirmed absence of Z-moves and their crystals, which is literally the gimmick that gave birth to its design

of course, all of the gen I superstars are here; in a scheme as old as gen VI, game freak can't afford to leave out any of the high profile gen I pokemon, especially when they're already under intense scrutiny of the pokemon fanbase;
we're yet to see the so-called advanced quality that music man masuda promised in lieu of a cut dex...instead, people are finding N64 trees, accessories clipping an NPC model's arm, and hau's animations literally being copypasted on hop

at first it looked to be some kind of galarian marowak, but the mono fighting type made that unlikely...

however, when i turned the image 90 degrees clockwise, it gave the appearance of a duck wielding a leek lance and a shield...wait a minute, where has that been done before?

...they brought "madame" back from the scrapyard, didn't they!?

a new smartphone gimmick website, "dynamax camera" went live yesterday

it's been datamined, revealing the codenames for gen VIII pokemon and revealing that they have evolutions

corviknight is the pidgeot of its region and is the final evo of a 3-stage common bird line (pidgey counterpart)
alcremie and polteageist are stage 2 evos
yamper, rolycoly, wooloo are the unevolved stages of an evolution
grookey is called "gorilla1" suggesting even further credibility to the 4chan affleck leak that it'll have a gorilla final evo
the ones beginning with "G" in their codenames have a gigantamax form
morpeko is again the generational electric rodent (pika-like) and is standalone

"high quality animations" my funky ass

it wouldn't hurt game freak to study the canine body movent even a little bit? zamazenta here thinks its a tank

if game freak's idea of something turning around is rotating its X axis while walking in place with no head and body movement turning to where its going whatsoever, it tells me they still program games like its 1995

everything still moves and animates like the gen VI and VII games

was the national dex cut actually the result of a mid-development catastrophic blunder?
an insider claims to know something behind it

what we know is dataminers have the retail ROMS now and went through the graphical assets - outside of some touchups, the previous gen pokemon models are identical to what the 3DS games use right down to the last vertex

consider that hop sometimes uses a familiar hau animation straight from gen VII, its all but confirmed they were using a model and animation importer tool
the insider claims that this tool broke at some point, and game freak found that it couldn't be fixed in time; their idea of a cover-up was to call the dex cut an intended design, hoping by possibly another gen VIII entry or even gen IX when the importer is fixed, to make the national dex a thing again

so basically we might see the whole dex together in a "third game", remakes, or gen IX if true

well-applauded pokemon game dataminer and hacker brings lord helix to galar by porting over LGPE assets :

good to see that restoring the national dex may not be a far-off goal to hackers
anything to give game freak a wake-up call i guess

though there are going to be hurdles to overcome, like the slew of moves that got cut - hidden power is gone, so what'll unown end up with?
