event appears to have started

just evolved a random spearow to test it, 1000xp

no loading screen change unfortunately, there's nothing like a turkey in the pkmn world even within 7 generations (though farfetch'd comes close to representing a poultry dish pkmn if it weren't a continental species in GO) - should've had a snorlax on it eating a pile of berries or something
