pressure from niantic has brought an end to many of these live map services as of the recent update, but a determined few continue to function

seems niantic updated their safety net and managed to knock fastpokemap out of commission by throwing up a captcha request for each scan

it's being said that either it'd cost the developer $4k per day to find a workaround or dump the tracker

FPM confirmed dead by the developer after another API change and a change in spawn mechanics

there seems to be hope of the new in-game tracker beginning its rollout to worldwide anyway

seems there was a crackdown of using official pkmn sprites in scanner maps because pokehuntr had to change them to these these derpy webcomic-esque fanart icons recently

yet every pokemon fansite under the sun get to use them willy-nilly, directly ripped from their ROMs, and have been for decades seemingly without a peep of legal threat from GF/TPCi/ninty

gymhuntr and other gym scanners have begun to add raid support

great for some of us that live a bit away from the majority of gyms
