Everybody knows that tarot cards can be used to predict the future, but what if they could be used for other things? is it possible to use then to reveal details about your past lives, and what about your future lives? do they only predict for this life time? just something which i have been thinking on, i might get a tarot card deck soon.

I think that they can be used to reveal something about past lives if you use the Major Arcana, but that's just my guess since they're the storytelling cards.
The cards mainly help you anticipate something in the future, depending on your question for them. But I don't think that they could extend that much toward future lives unless it's a pretty strong deck, like passed down through some-odd generations and used either frequently or regularly (like at the beginning of every month and on every birthday and used on births and the like). The more use the deck sees, the stronger it gets, I believe....
But this is just from my own head. I don't really know that much but that's my speculation as I have a deck of my own, though it isn't used very much. (Primarily because I don't know how to phrase my questions XD)
