Title: lullibies of the night
Post by: Uchiyori on Apr 17 2006, 10:22 PM
All of us dream right? so it has been said that by scientists that everyone goes through REM when they sleep no matter whether they know they had the dream or not. About two years ago after the incident that left me without a father, I had a dream when I was sleeping in my mother's bedroom. The dream happened like this:  I was standing in the bedroom, it was night and the lamp on the bedside counter was on. A song, with words played into the air, the source however was unknown.. I tuned to the door and there on the wood surface were a set of numbers painted in blood. I can kind of recall it to be 1096. I have no idea what it means and after a while of thinking it turns out that the song playing was a lulliby that my mother used to sing to me for comfort. not the present day mother here, but of long ago. the words echo in my head as a constant and I still sing it. I wanted to learn how to sing it in my native language, but I have to learn my language first. The song goes like this:

Come now, come now child, into my arms;
Sleep now, slowly rest, dream with the wind;
love sings softly now, fall away.
   Soon the night will come, the sun will fade;
winter  bare no more, the warmth will stay;
but for now sleep child, in my arms.
   Dark now comes to light, but do not fear;
love will never fall so stay with me, Forget me not I will stay...

I took a picture of the notes with my cell phone so if you have an instrament and can get the tune you will know the song that I sing...

I have an instrument, but I dont know how to play the tune on it considering my instrument is a guitar and not a piano. With a piano, it'd be easier to figure it out. My band/choir teacher totally sucked at teaching us the scales... just had us do them once and that was it. I just know what the strings are on it....

Anyone with a guitar know how to transribe that?

It seems u had a really clear dream, and from what I know I'm not surprised about someone having dreams from his or her past, it happens to some and its perfectly real.
If that number and the lyrics of the song where so clear it prolly means it was something from your past, something about you or if not prolly something you met or did in the past. But this if you're sure from the way you had the dream (the clarity of the dream) it was not just a rendom dream and it ment something.
Try to fall asleep having your mind as clear as possible, I know from my own experience it helps you remember what you dream and dream more clear, and maybe you will dream this song again and even something new, I remember when I was younger about dreaming something one night and the continue of that dream the second night. So just stay relaxed and think about it and you will probably dream again sometimes soon.

My father and i have looked at it, and it is playable BUT the notes are not very clear, i willl attempt to clear it up using photoshop but if you could re-write a clearer version and maybe with a time so i know how slow to play it, im sure i could figure out how to play it.

You know, I have a midi maker, I could probably make a midi of this tune, but I don't know how to read music *sweatdrop* Umm.. If anyone wants to they could look up "midi maker" on google and try to download it.
