Lemme tell the story first then the questions

Today i was have so hugely major problems in SL and i was really freaking out wondering where someone was that could help me that person logged on and IMed me saying he was woken up by a fox calling out for him in his dream. I was asking in my mind where are you over and over again and somehow the calls musta have made it into his dream. And yes he did help me fix what was wrong and gave me some nice advise and i apologized for waking him up

I wish i knew what this was called but I'm really glad it happened....

Some would probably call that coincidence. I for one dont beleive in it. YOu say you called out in your mind, and he heard you in his dream. Im pretty sure theres a term for this but i cant put my finger on it, once i find it out ill let you know.

Mental shout maybe? sounds like a form of astral projection to me... but yet not as strong...

You do need to be asleep for astral projection, although the person who heard you was asleep. Or it might have been a crude case of telepathier. Im doing what research i can on this subject although i am working alot at the moment so its during what spare time i have.

you do thats probably why it was much weaker then an actual astral projection... you were still conscious or interacting with the physical world so it didn't have as great an influence... almost like you where trying to talk to somebody through a closed door way instead of actually opening the door to talk to them

Screw light and darkness, I want a piece of both worlds.

I don't believe in coincidences over things like these very much. You call for him, and at the same moment he wakes up because a fox is calling for him, logs on exactly on sl and im's you. Normally, I would tend to classify that as telepathy... anyway, I am also not 100% sure if it was you who woke him up, but I tend to believe that did happen. I would like to know about it more in detail so maybe you can ask more about the dream, and also, where you (or did you) think directly of him/her while you where calling in your mind?

I haven't really talked to him about the dream, but I was thinking of the same person i woke up and I IMed him first. I'll ask him about the dream when he gets back

There's no such thing as coincidence in that matter.  It was most likely just a weak, subconscious message you sent out and he happened to be more receptive than the average person.
Nyah.
