Well, at least I like Diablo II, and I think with as easy as it would be to find illegally (NOT that I CONDONE such behavior), I think it would be a great time for us to have a server up and running so we may all bask in the glory that is my necromancer and his many skeletons. Maybe we could even get the expansion pack eventually (NOT THAT I CONDONE ILLEGAL TORRENTING). :D
-
Yay, I love Diablo II as well!
Wait, if we set up a server, can we still use b.net characters, or do we have to use only single-player ones? o.o
-
Not sure. Might be just the single player ones.

Crap... v.v

So, Hamachi works. The network name will be Kitsune Paradise. Its password will be olioliolio. I won't be on 24/7 (we need someone with a desktop to run this when I can't), but I'll shout out what times I'll be here and hopefully someone'll join me. :D

Then, run it and follow the tutorial. Tell me when you're done with the tutorial.
-
You probably won't be able to finish the tutorial because test will be full. Therefore, skip it. Follow those steps, but for the channel/network, type in Kitsune Paradise and for the password, type in olioliolio

I did that...

Sorry, I got sidetracked.

Hamachi solves alot of problems, but then again you can just go on "Open Battle.net" which is like singleplayer (as they allow cheats and import characters), while the normal battle.net you gotta make a character and keep playing it.
There was an update for Diablo2 in a magazine I've seen.
It tells you how to increase the resolution for the game beyond what its supposed to.. so basically you can see another addional --- yards, depending on the new resolution you set it.
=======
Its called "Pseudoreso" (google it or click the link I gave) and then read the instructions. I know the bar at the bottom becomes messed up but it wasn't meant for that resolution anyway. Its cool though if you want to see more for an old game which seems very clostaphobic.

Where is this Open Battle.net you speak of?
-
On Lord of Destruction expansion I have it when you click multiplayer.
You connect to Battle.net but I notice that it doesn't ask for your online characters but rather uses your local version, hense why its open.
Its not so much the system is cracked, but made it so you don't play by the rules of battle.net so you can import charcters to play with (which means.. cheats etc would work, since you can alter local files).
Look around the menu, I'm sure it says it somewhere.
-------------
I used to play on Battle.net but I don't want to now have to grind for hours when I've got a perfectly good backup of my old singleplayer character.
btw. Singleplayer, multiplayer lan and open battle.net uses the same characters.. so leveling on any (singleplayer, multiplayer) will level them.
-
You can get Open Battle.net by going to "Other Multiplayer" :P
-
Yeah.
Its a cool game to play, seems everybody is playing WoW those these days.
I can't wait till Diablo3 comes out, that will run on Battle.net so it means no constant paying.
-
I can wait until Diablo 3... Since my computer sucks too much to play it...
-
Starcraft 2 will be released before it.
As it stands now they've begun their beta program.
Battle.net has been upgraded so you can download your old games if you input your CD key into your battle.net account its so useful because I'm running x64 which doesn't recognise the 16 bit installers to install Starcraft or Diablo2 (they'll play, but installing them is a pain), however not anymore since I can just download and play like steam.
