Yes, I will return to Sonic 2 hacking.

I will be starting fresh this time, re-creating my old Sonic 2 hack from scratch. The hack will be called "Lethal Hedgehog RK-7520", yet it has little to do with my RPs.

-The characters will be referred to by their Bluejay codenames in the game. Sonic will be RK-7520, and Tails will be PX-1753. Their original palettes will be modified to match their supposed likenesses. Dr. Robotnik will be referred to as Dr. Bluejay, however his sprites are compressed, and I'm saving the compressed graphics for last in modifying.

-The attributes for the characters will be modified.

-All of the zone names from the older hacks will be attained in this hack, and so as their palettes. The special stages will be pallete-hacked as well.

-I will try to make new level layouts. This was lacking in the old hacks, but time has come for me to make them so this version won't be as boring and basic as it's predecessors. I am also planning on changing the graphics for the levels as well.

-I plan to recover the "lost levels" in this hack.

-Utilizing the Sonic 2 MP3 Tool's capabilities, the music in this game will be changed, and replaced by external .mp3 files of music ripped from other Sega Genesis games. The files will be in a separate .rar archive once I release the first prototype, which will be released after all work is done with uncompressed sprites and palettes.

I am off to hacking now.

This reminds me...I still have the older version of your Sonic 2 hack on my modded X-Box, all the way from two years ago. o_O Unfortunately, I don't know whether or not it could be copied back to a hard-drive, or not. But anyway, about the new hack, Super Sonic is going to be Nebulex/RK-7520's "Omega form", right?

Hah, I can't believe my hack would go beyond the computer and into a game console....

And yes, I am planning on making Super Sonic into the "omega form".

However, some zone names will be changed in the new hack.

-Red Dragon Zone (WFZ) will now be called Blood Eagle Zone. The zone itself, however, will have it's pallete re-created as close to the original pallete as possible.
-Phoenix Zone (DEZ) will now be called Bluejay Spaceport Zone. A new pallete will accompany it in this hack.

I am already making modifications to the CPZ pallete as of now.

Indeed, yes.

These are from the 1st prototype and are to show the palette changes within the game. The level are not yet changed.

Anyways, I found out how to edit level tiles via SonED, so the hack may be getting new level graphics over time!!

Actually, ripping sprites from that game isn't hard, at all. All you really need to do is load the ROM into a sprite program, such as "Sonik Sprite", and then use the "Export Sprite" option on all four frames.

Sonik Sprite only has 2% compatibility with Sonic 2 BETA. Only 19 sprites can be edited, and that does not include Sonic's running sprites. I suppose this can also be done by means of Tile Layer Pro...

The "XXX"s are of unused level slots that are yet to be restored. List is subject to change.

Heh...I like how you named some of them after Greek letters. As for the Sonic 2 Beta sprites, I'll see what I can do to help.
