Vulpine Side Shrine 11/14 of Toyokawa Inari Tokyo Betsuin.

One Shrine further to the left is this tiny Shrine that yet shalters about 11 foxes. As far as I understand, 子授 refers to conception after a Shrine visit.

A minimalisitic Shrine with just an Ookami, and yet a quartet of foxes with a kit stand watch over it.

Vulpine Side Shrine 13/14 of Toyokawa Inari Tokyo Betsuin.

A fox Shrine right (or rather left) next to the main Temple of Toyokawa Inari Tokyo Betsuin. This one seems to be about getting financed or lending money.

Befittingly, there are a bunch of golden foxies sitting deep inside.

The final Vulpine Side Shrine of Toyokawa Inari Tokyo Betsuin, and a fitting finale.

Many little and larger foxes take shelter inside this tiny Shrine. It's hard to make out exactly how many due to the gloomy January weather today, but it sure is a lot.

Yet another Side Shrine of Toyokawa Inari Tokyo Betsuin. This one, however, features frogs instead of foxes. Interestingly, the right stack of frogs is always wet.

This one is for one outside of Toyokawa Inari Tokyo Betsuin, but not far from it. In fact, it's more or less just across the road.

This one is special, however, since it's the only Inari Shrine that I've found which features cats instead of foxes. In fact, the ones watching over this Shrine are a special variety of soul-eating cats.

Four days before finally leaving Japan, I am a dozen fox Shrines short of the psychologically important 600-mark. And so, I embark upon one lengthy, last stray around northern Kawasaki and southern Tokyo in order to complete the set. Should I succeed?

Here's the first fox Shrine I find on that final stray, located between three high buildings, and with quite a number of people to attend it. Two foxes stand guard outside, and another two little ones hide within.

A little fox Shrine at the side of Higashida Kouen (東田公園 "East Field Park"). This one is slightly inaccessible, but I still manage to take some pictures of the two foxes standing watch over it.

Located on the other side of the railroad tracks, and on the narrowest point of land between Tamagawa (多摩川 "Frequent Grind River") and Tsurumigawa (鶴見川 "Crane View River") is this little Inari Shrine in a pretty run-down block. The Shrine and the foxes there are in good shape though.

A little Inari Shrine that is just a little bit locked off. And yet, I can see two foxes watching over it from the outside.

This tiny fox Shrine is located already a good ways further down the road, after crossing over Tamagawa and into Tokyo.

A "please do not park here" sign stands on the parking lot that would obstruct the Shrine, and two little golden foxies take up residence within. They sure are well-supplied.

A Side Shrine of Yaguchi Hikawa Jinja (矢口氷川神社 "Arrow Mouth Ice River Shrine").

This one is barriered-off too. A lot of Shrines seem, in the Tokyo Metropolitan Region. But even so, I can see the five foxes here. Unusually, the female is on the right side at this Shrine.

The final Bronze Fox Shrine I should find on my journey, and a Side Shrine of Nitta Jinja (新田神社 "New Field Shrine"). It is located not far from the Musashi-Nitta Station of the Tōkyū Tamagawa Line.

Many many little foxes, as well as several big ones watch over this Shrine, and if I read the sign correctly, you can even purchase the little special white foxes in the front row baskets for 400 Yen a piece if you want a special wish to come true.

Another foxy reason to go to the Musashi-Nitta Station of the Tōkyū Tamagawa Line is this little Shrine located just outside of the station on the north side of the line.

Not only are there many foxes inside (two of them caged, with the female on the right (might be a Tokyo thing, both of it)), but the Shrine is one dedicated to the seven lucky gods of Buddhism, housing Fukurokuju (福禄寿 "Blessing Happiness Longevity"), god of longevity and happiness, as his name might suggest.

A good deal further east into Ota-Ku, I come across this tiny Shrine  with its pair of foxes. The name hints at a little forest that once was here, but today this is a purely residental area.
