Another Side Shrine of Dairoku Tensakaki Jinja (第六天榊神社 "Sixth Heaven Evergreen Shrine"), and the last of the three Shrines with foxes I should find on 7-Apr-2018.

This one features two caged foxes, which means that they are in good condition, but makes them harder to see. I wonder, is that a good tradeoff? Probably not...

One of the two Inari Shrines I should find on 10-Apr-2018.

This one is a Side Shrine of Yushima Tenmangu (湯島天満宮 "Hot Spring Island Imperial Satisfaction Shrine"), an ancient shrine devoted to learning established in AD458. The cute little fox fresco above the Shrine is just one in a long row of animal frescos spanning the row of the arcades.

The other of the two Inari Shrines I should find on 10-Apr-2018.

This one is a Side Shrine of a temple  next to Yuushima Tenmangu. Next to it there is a tranquil pond with turtles and fish,  and I end up losing myself in the tranquillity for quite some time.

The first Shrine with foxes I should find during my stray from Koto-ku to Taitou-ku through Sumida-ku on 12-Apr-2018.

This one is still in Koto-Ku, and is actually a side-shrine of Joshinji (淨心寺 "Pure Heart Temple", one of many Buddhist temples in this area).

This one is literally a little street corner Shrine.

Ironically, the closest river, a channel to the north, is not the Fukagawa as this Shrine's name might suggest, but the Konakigawa (小名木川 "Small Precious Tree River").

A little Side Shrine of Fukagawajin Myogu (深川神明宮 "Deep River God Radiant Shrine"). A total of six little foxies flank this one.

This one is actually right next to a kindergarten, so there's a buzz of  vibrant activity around.

A Shrine flanked by two caged foxes. Although it is next to a park, you actually have to leave the park and circle around the block to enter it.

And please don't ask me where the other six rivers are supposed to be.

The only Inari Shrine I should find on 14-Apr-2018, and the conclusive proof that I obviously can't walk  along a single new road in this part of the Radiant Metropolis without running into an Inari  Shrine.

This one is located in a park right next to the railway viaduct of the Chuo Line, which runs straight through the heart of the city about three stories above ground level.

The first Inari Shrine I should find on the great northern circuit on 19-Apr-2018. I should come to call this one the Trollface Inari Shrine for being just out of reach, and while there is a ladder leaning against the tree which could be used to access it, I'm not really sure if it would be okay to actually use it.

Interesting fact: 矢場 means both "Archery Range" and "Brothel disguised as an Archery Range", so that makes you wonder what kind of place this really was.

A Side Shrine of Shitaya Jinja (下谷神社 "Lower Valley Shrine"), located conveniently at the Inaricho-Eki (稲荷町駅 "Inari Town Station") of the Ginza Line. Quite a fitting name I must say.

This one should be another of those Shrines where I had to put down "Many" for the number of foxes around. Between the skulks of little foxes flanking the altar on both sides, and the scores hanging out on the little mound across from the main Shrine, there was no way I could count them all.

A Shrine inside Ueno Park, an oasis of green in the Radiant Metropolis.

Once again, there are more foxes inside than one can count, neatly arranged on shelves to the sides of the divine mirror.

A Side Shrine of Hanazono Inari Jinja. Unfortunately, photos are forbidden in the cave, even if you hold your cellphone vertically and at a slight angle.

Thankfully, the "cave" (which was more of an overhang closed off by a wall) was not all that impressive, and only two more little foxies were hiding inside.

At first, I see only the three little foxies outside, but a coy glance through the offertory hole  reveals another six hiding inside for a total of nine. A good number for foxes. =^,^=
