Firstly let me say although I am not a big fan of LARP or RP. I though it would be interesting to join this forum, because of my interest in the mythological creature know as Kitsune, and their other incarnations in cultures like Korea and China. I myself am of a scientific disposition, and am currently working towards my degree in pharmacy. My interest in foxes was first sparked when while out hunting on one of my many family hunting trips I saw a fed fox yet couldn't bring myself to shoot it. Later during a period in my life where I was deeply infatuated with martial arts. Particularly Japanese disciplines like Ninjistsu and Kendo I learned about shinto myths like Kitsune/Inari. Ever since I have found Kitsune fascinating. I even made my own Halloween costume comprised of a elaborate set of ears and tail. Coincidentally keeping with myth I committed various pranks that night of varying levels of maliciousness.

In the near future I may request any historically accurate information others in the forum have on Kistune myths, and or those of cultures like Korea/China. I know this is a lot to ask for a new member. Yet my presence here is mainly do to a interest in the creature, and not so much in the rich RP community that has arose around it. This is do to the fact that modern interpretations or accounts about Kitsune are deeply poisoned by personal interpretation or pop culture.  

In closing even though my being here is a pragmatic matter I hope I can contribute my level headed enthusiasm to the forum. Oh on a passing note I noticed that this forum goes through periods of inactivity I would be glad to here potential reasons for this phenomena.  :)

Welcome Vincent Valantine.

I myself was interested in the RP community but I suppose even the mythological and spiritual section was still quite active the last time I visited.

I joined for similar reasons but ended up getting involved in RP.  I tend to however go from a different approach as I like story writing but at the same time its fun to interact with characters which will have different reactions to what you could ever hope for by just writing them yourself.


Hmm..  It seems the Spiritual board is gone now.
I suppose these boards might be a good place to look.
