In a fight within the cramped space of modern day Japan, who would win?

I would normally tend to think kitsunes could defeat them if needed and win (*would make sure they would ^.-) Kitsunes are probably at least much more powerful in magic though I haven't looked much on info about oni really.

Okay, this topic is fairly stupid.  It's a Myobu's JOB to purify Oni and protect the area he or she lives in.  Therefore, we can beat them.  And Myobu, for all the noobs, are the branch of kitsune who serve Inari-sama.

also dependes on how many tails the kitsune has... if nine the oni's fate is set in stone... but personally i think that even a one tail could beat an oni... from what i've read they aren't suppose to be the brightest bulbs in the box...

A kitsune would own an oni simply because kitsune have magic and could fight at range while oni only use brute force. If a kitsune was somehow forced into physical combat with an oni, which would require intervention from some other source as there is no way an idiot like an oni is going to trick a kitsune, thenit might win but unless that happened it would be horrribly owned.

And how do you know that Oni don't use magic? Oni is just a fancy word for demon. And remember Demons can use magic as well.
