Title: About the character displayed on shippo.com
Post by: ErikMouse on Feb 01 2006, 07:44 PM
Hi there, while I was looking to do something with "Shippo's Cozy Den" domain wise, I came across shippo.com with some character displayed on it. And what I would like to know, is who the fuck is the character on shippo.com because that sure isn't Shippo from Inu Yasha. This is the real pic of the real Shippo from Inu Yasha to this message to show that it isn't the same character. [attachmentid=60] Also, while I am thinking of it, this below is the pic of me in wearing Shippo's clothes (Shippo Costume) while holding my two little Shippo dolls. [attachmentid=61]

This is the character displayed on shippo.com - for those too lazy to go there:

Perhaps translating the site from Japanese to English could reveal some clues. I don't know. I'm thinking it could be a different character with the same name (something very common).

Also, I believe that the proper spelling for his name is Shippou.

Here is what it looks like after putting it through Googls's Japanese to English translator. Click here for English Translation of Shippo.com (http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.shippo.com&langpair=ja%7Cen&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&prev=%2Flanguage_tools). And I don't know how you could have a different character with the same name because of copyright/trademark laws.

Um, no. It is spelled Shippo in the credits at the end of every Inu Yasha episode. And that is what I went with regarding the spelling of his name for Shippo's Cozy Den (http://cozyden.km-website.com). And the reason I mentioned this here is because I was just wondering if anyone here has any ideas of who the fuck that character is on shippo.com.

I just went to  Yomiuri's  Website to check the spelling and it IS Shippou.

Oh, and I tried translating the site but i found nothing on who she is.

Well, the credits at the end of Inu Yasha anime episodes say different with the spelling of Shippo.

1) Translating names for people/names from Japanese may change the spelling and/or pronounciation.

2) It's well drawn, but I suppose someone drew it just for the site.
