apart from smashfor U having a way to use GCN controllers, this opens up the possibility of gamecube VC and/or a gamecube backcomp patch, with the GCN controllers having their pressure-sensitive shoulder triggers and whatnot
though heaven knows how they'll handle memory cards, seeing as they couldn't even put in the effort of implementing controller pak emulation in their N64 VC emulators
