So, since some people here actually played The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, I've decided to log in my progress in the game thus far. Now let's see... On the main story quest, I'm supposed to talk to someone about attacking a Sixth House base, but I'm holding out on that, until I do all of the Fighter's Guild quests. I might also try the Dark Brotherhood quests before I continue with the main story. I'm also considering doing the Bloodmoon quests soon, too...

Feel free to share any tips, strategy, advice, etc. I would greatly appreciate it ^.^

Due to a glitch that can only be described as ridiculous (somebody that I asbolutely had to kill passed through the floor, presumably down to the 'center of the world'...) I've been forced to start all over again. Yes, you heard me, all over again. After becoming the head of the Fighter's Guild, after fighting off Corprus disease, and after killing hundreds of Cliff Racers, I've been defeated by a little glitch...

You could have just used a console command to teleport him to you (or just noclip to him). I think if you do fall through the floor you teleport into the 'origin' of the cell anyways.

As for Morrowind, my CD broke yesterday. it pissed me off so bad because I had just installed it when one of my speakers toppled over on top of it. Worse yet, it's one of those games that demands you have the CD in the drive. The no-CD crack I got also needs the movie files on the disk, which I don't have (it would be cool if someone could give them to me somehow)

Sorry if this was just supposed to be a you-only thread.

Wow, that stinks... But yeah, I'm playing it on the X-Box (no console  :(  )

And no, this isn't a me-only thing. This is for people to give useful input, tips, etc., and just general comments about the game itself.

I hope you can get a new disc or something...

Xbox version? That sucks.

But yeah... I think it will let me play, but it will just be annoying when I start it up with all the errors, and I won't be able to see the cutscenes. no matter though, as I've beaten the main storyline before =p

Actually, I do have the game for the PC, it's just that it doesn't come with any of the expansion content that I get on the X-Box version. Besides, my computer sucks so much, I can barely play it without crashing  <_<

I guess having to start over isn't so bad... I can correct a few of the mistakes I made the first time around.

Oh. is it possible for you to copy the movies over onto your computer from the CD and then upload them somewhere for me to download? Cause, that way this no CD thing will work. I had gotten the game of the year edition with both expansions a long while back... but, grrr, broken CD pisses me off...

Hmmm... I think you put the CD in the drive then tell the autorun to screw off. Right click the CD and then do 'explore' and it'll open like a folder

As for the uploading, I don't know...

Newsflash, Morrowind fans! I just got the Helm of Oreyn Bearclaw! It's a heavy piece, with 216 defense (with my current heavy armor skill at 72), and it has +40 points to both Agility and Endurance! Constant Effect! Plus, it kinda looks like a big wolf skull! Awesome!

How to get it: go to the Daedric shrine called Assurdiropal, which is south of the necromancer base Vas, and east-northeast of the Urshilaku Ashlander camp. Go to the Inner Shrine, kill the dudes that seem to be very angry with you, and activate the Statue of Malacath. He will tell you that long ago, a 'hero' took credit for the deeds of a heroic Orc.
Your mission is to kill the descendant of that false hero, and you will be rewarded with the fantastic helm. He tells you to look in the "City of the Man-God" (Vivec). However, if you ask around, you will learn that the descendant is not in Vivec, but is instead in Gnaar Mok. Go there, and you'll learn that he is on an island south of town, slaying several pesterous netch.
Go south, and look for a big dead Bull Netch. Talk to the dude is near-full Dwemer armor, and he'll send his (incredibly tough) guards after you. He himself isn't very strong. Kill him and his guards, and return to the shrine. Talk to the Statue of Malacath again, and he'll give you the awesome helm! Yay!

Yeah, the helm is pretty sweet... Remember, though; his guards are really, really tough. I died like three times fighting that battle, and I had near-full ebony armor and a Daedric longsword. Still, the helm is definitely worth it.

I just found a pretty sweet two-handed sword, called 'Chrysamere'. It has Resist Fire 5-20% for thirty seconds, 5-20% Reflect for thirty seconds, and Restore Health 5-20 points. This, and it has an awesome amount of damage behind it. I might actually use it, despite me mainly using one-handed weapons and shields...

Okay, strategy time: I found it in a bad mage's cave called Abanabi. It's on an island between Wolverine Hall (which is next to Sadrith Mora), and Tel Fyr, the place where you get your Corprus Disease cured in the main quest. Note that when I did this area, it was full of both Frost and Storm Atronachs, but mostly Storm Atronachs.

Having cured my Corprus Disease at Tel Fyr , I set about looting the chests in the Corprusarium. Sure enough, I got quite a few Dwemer Coins and Goblets, and even the two-handed blunt weapon Volendrung (sadly lacking any magical properties, at least to my current knowledge...) Along the way, I found the 'Daedric Sanctuary' Amulet. Later, I put it on. Wow.
You'll be asked if you want to go to some place with a funny name. Say 'yes', and you'll be teleported there, and you'll fight a tough Dremora Lord. Kill him, and you will be taken back to Tel Fyr; however, the amulet will be gone from your inventory, having been replaced by the Dremora Lord's own weapon, the Daedric Crescent! This fantastic two-handed Long Blade-type weapon does 20-50 damage, Disintegrates Armor 5-30 points, and even Paralyzes for ten seconds! Besides, it looks cool, too! (kind of like those weird curved blades you see Klingons using on Star Trek...)
Awesome, yes?
