I've played the game only twice at my friend's, so I don't know much about the story. Anyway, in the gameplay, there's this boost gauge or whatever it's called that is kind of like your stamina. You get more in your bar by doing tricks in the air (That are very hard to land well) or getting rings, or such things like that. When this bar goes all the way down, you get OFF the board/bike/rollerskates (You just run with the skates) and walk/run (at 150 MPH). This will help you succed in slowing very much down to last place.

Another thing is the announcer that tells you what any person is doing. Even if you're playing alone or with someone, it'll still tell you what a computer will be doing too. Say you're playing with Shadow and your friend is Tails, the announce will go: "Tails is building momentum! Shadow better dash! Amy is slowing down! This mistake will cost Sonic the race!" Over and over and over.

My last rant about the game is the handling. If you want to turn you'll have to drift, and drifting is confusing. After a drift you'll get a boost from the slowing down you did to turn, and if you didn't turn all the way you'll be tapping the R button and going out of control. If you don't drift you'll slightly faint to whitchever direction.

Other than that, it's fun.

We've gone off the subject of Sonic Riders, you say? Alright, I'll stay on the subject when I say that the game sucks, and that Sonic R is better.

I have a question! Can u chose which character u r? lyk in Sonic Dx... e.g. u cud b Knux thru out the game or Is it lyk Sonic Adventure 2 Battle where u have evil and gud and the computer choices which chracter u r and that u r a different character each level.
