Title: SNES console Super Mario World - glitches
Post by: FyreFlareon on Jan 26 2015, 03:25 PM
So like, I've recently found a ton of youTube videos that show how enormously glitchy Super Mario World for SNES is. It's also extremely hackable, as there are thousands of different mods for it released for emulators. But I don't do emulators if I don't have to. I have a real SNES and a real SMW cartridge. I've seen a lot of funky tool-assisted videos showing a great many bastardizations of the poor game and what you can do in it, but I've also seen a lot of simpler glitches and tricks that make me go "whoa. o.o" Some I already managed to do by accident simply by chance. Like when Yoshi doesn't finishing eating an apple on a bush and there's this non-moving weird apple left behind. Or glitching through mass yellow spinny blocks, or having 1-ups eaten by swarming boos. Or glitchy 1-up notices in areas that give you beyond 3-ups. Those are simple.

The weird ones are interesting. I recently pulled off one of the "Orb glitch," which is neat. It's located here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AiHD5KHzHeE It basically gives you an instant-win for any level. Took me about 10 minutes.

So.. have any of ya'll pulled off glitches on this game? On console? Or at least without assistance in an emulator?
