640x480 completely messes up the layout here, but Sephora (http://www.sephora.com/) official website still looks fine at 640x480.
800x600 is better, but still a little bit of scrollbar.
1024x768 is okay, but there's about 100 pixels inch of blank to the left and right of the forum.
1280x1024 is the worst because there's about 200 pixels of blank space to each side.
2048x1536 has about 500 pixels of blank to either side, but I think I wouldn't maximize the Mozilla Firefox window at 2048x1536.
And color depths:
256-color: Icons look fine still in 256 colors.
High color: Worse than 256 color under MSIE. Distracting color banding under MSIE, but smooth dithering under Firefox
True color: I won't get started with this... Of course it looks fine in truecolor!
