I just played through Sonic the Hedgehog yesterday only to be thwarted by the final boss.  -_-  Anyways, Sonic the Hedgehog on my dad's Genesis was the very first game I ever played so it brings back fond memories of endless hours just trying to beat the first level.  (Hey I was only like three by the time I could play it. >_>)

Anyone else got fond memories from a classic game, perhaps your first one?

Sonic the Hedgehog was my very first vedeo game. As suchm the Sega genesis was our first console.

A fond memory I have is sticking pennies into the game cartridge slot and wondering why the system woudln't work. We probably went through 2 or 3 of those things :/.

I also remember playing games like Quackshot, Zombies ate my Neighbors, Shining Force, Dune, Ramparts, Ecco the Dolphin, Earthworm Jim, Mutant League Football, Marble Madness, [Then some Mickey Mouse game... It might have been Mickey Mouse: World of Illusion], Tiny Toon Adventures: ACME All-Stars, Animaniacs, and much more!... but I can't remember their names at all...

Atari 2600 was my first console. I remember playing Pitfall, Breakout, Pac-Man, some tank game, and E.T (puke).

Then I had the Genesis. First game I ever played on that was Sonic 2. Then there was Sonic and Knuckles, Pebble Beach Golf Links, and Dynamite Headdy. Awesome games (except for the golf game).

In 2001, I started using emulators. First was Genecyst, and I checked out Sonic 2 Beta.

Buy me a coffee!

dreams are as portals, flat visions of misty places, fragments bound below my surface.
but i can write dreams, they flow from me, inscribed yet now unbound. i touch them, and they are real....and they are real.

The very first video game I played, was Super Mario Brothers for the NES, when I was two years old. I don't mean to brag, but for a two-year old, I was extraordinarily good. I didn't end up beating the game back then, because some of those castle stages confused me (World 4-4 and 7-4). Also, I remember the times where I used to use these codes from a Game Genie book (like an invincibility code, for example) and I would ram down any enemy I came across, even Bowser himself.
