It depends on whether your granddad is willing to shell out for it and you happen to find small consoles fiddly. But hey! Bigger screens are a good thing! I think their thinner too...

Although, I read that Nintendo where planning on another mutated offspring for the DS. It almost makes me wish they'd do so for the Wii rather than the DS but what the hey! A faster, more powerful Wii doesn't seem like what all the Nintendo people think will benefit us. I disagree but it still wont happen.

The Nintendo 3DS - yes, the clue is in the name - is the first hand-held to get the 3D upgrade we've all been seeing at cinemas. I wouldn't mind too much, I like the 3D effect. Its a little redundant on a console that has graphics only just below that of a PS2 but something to show off.

You could wait for that? If you seriously wanted to....

the 3DS is supposedly going to be more of a portable gamecube, like the current DS is somewhat of a portable n64 (actually its more between the PS1 and n64)

Well, I was happy with the amount of polish the Gamecube could handle. I should be good.

I'd still like an upgrade for the Wii though...

Yea the 3DS Nvdia created a grafic card to see your games in 3d or your destop but i bet only linuxdistribuions will have that support with compiz or waterver and the 3DS will have a Nvidia chip on it reason od the "3D"S

I've searched for the sive and it's heavier than the old NDS i have witch missing the top screen

but on DSi XL does the pixels will be all stretched (like gbc/gb games on gba) or not the 3D on 3DS it a plus or the game will still work on the older DS ?

3D give me head ache only to remind you guys

GBA=32bit [SNES] and NDS 64bit [N64] ;) 3DS will surely be like the NGC [128bit]

Science put everything tiny but always with BIGGER screens

the SNES is actually 16-bit, the 32-bit GBA is slightly more capable than the SNES, yet weaker than the PS1

actually the 3DS is using the pica200 as its GPU, it supposedly has processing power exceeding that of the wii according to developers

the top screen of the 3DS creates the 3D effect, and it can be turned off with a switch near the top screen

it'll be backwards compatible with all DS/DSi titles as well as its own 3DS library, there might be a wireless e-reader app coming for it
