-character design revisions of the current sonic cast, new characters incoming

-photo-realistic graphics "is of no concern"
-interaction with merchendise to unlock content
-the merchendise may tie in with a new cartoon series
i'm excited and nervous at the same time of what will become of sonic if this becomes reality

- sonic 4 ep2 won't end the sonic 4 story, and may have upwards of 4 episodes with the possiblity of a "sonic 5" after ep4
- sega is aware that fans want more old-school conflict between sonic and robotnik

Ugh, haven't they done enough of that already? For the past five years, there hasn't been a single mainstream game where anyone other than him was playable (not counting the Sonic CD remake).

I REAAAAAAAALLY hope they do reboot Sonic- better yet, Capcom and Sega should work together and reboot/merge it with the new Devil May Cry! Dante and Sonic saving the world from demons and havin' a good ol' time. Plus, Sonic using the Beowulf would be pretty awesome.

True dat. It would pretty much be the same thing as Shadow the Hedgehog, and I must admit, Dante beating the crap out of Devil Doom would be pretty awesome.

- sonic reboot mixing SA and colors/generations styles, most post-SA characters to be scrapped, online chao gardens mentioned
- ristar and NiGHTS just cameos again in SASRT
- more generations DLC on the way-2 classic and 2 modern levels in works
- talk of NiGHTS PS2 revamp being brought over in some way (give me a wii/wii U port)
- no progress on shenmue 3, previous games though planned for re-release

That game has already been confirmed as a hoax. (http://www.sonicstadium.org/2012/03/iizuka-says-sonic-dimensions-a-hoax-comments-on-sonics-future/) Plus, like I said in the other thread, TSSZ News isn't exactly the best source for this type of information, anyway. That site's notorious for tabloid journalism and spreading other bits of false information.
With that said, I highly doubt that a reboot to the series is actually happening. If it does, then I'm going to be pretty pissed. The same thing goes for the rest of the fanbase (who aren't classic fanboys, that is).
