"This year, Sonic turns 20. The concept of Sonic Generations was essentially to compress all 20 years of his history into a single game. For example, what we did to adapt the traditional Sonic, with all of his traditional 2-D platforming and his signature charateristics, to fit with the modern Sonic, with his own unique characteristics. In my opinion, there both are fans that prefer classic 2-D Sonic platform-action games, and fans that prefer the 3-D Sonic games as of late." [Editor's Note: But not in my opinion. While there are plenty aspects that I and many other people I've spoken to like better about the 3-D series, like its characters and graphics, I've never met anybody who thinks the 3-D gameplay was superior. "In 2010, we released Sonic 4: Episode I, which was intended mostly for classic Sonic fans, [Editor's Note: I forgot classic Sonic games were filled with shitty physics!] but also Sonic Colors, which was for the fans that enjoy Sonic in 3-D. What we wanted to do with Sonic Generations was to create a game that's intended to please both fanbases. We hope that the whole world is pleased with this unique game, and can celebrate Sonic's 20th Anniversary together."
