Despite all the bad things people say about this game, I still want it. People think this game's gonna suck, because it has newer enemies that weren't in Donkey Kong Country. I couldn't care less about that, a good game is a good game. The only gripe I have with the game so far is that you have to control it with bongos, the same ones you use to play Donkey Konga. This game is out in Japan already, it comes out in Europe next month, and I have to wait 'til March 14 for it to come out in the U.S.

i have this game and it rules. its far better than donkey konga as on jungle beat you are actually running round and beating up foes. when you get to the end of 3 levels you fight a big evil kong and its like a punch fight with the bongos. so overall id give it 8/10.

Lemme guess, a Japanese import, right? I've seen a few of these on Ebay, and the description says that it'll only work on a Japanese Gamecube console. Since you have it, can you tell me whether or not this really does work on a U.S. Gamecube?

terro must have a modded gamecube, modded to override regional blocking on games that were not released in the same country his gamecube was created, like imports. a japanese game cannot really work on a u.s. gamecube unless yours is modded like his.

anyways, the game has already been released in the u.s. last month,
so you won't have to shell out $100+ for a few tech heads to install this
modding on your gamecube, not to mention not having to do mass bidding on ebay for imports nor having to pay big on import websites.

You know, importing games are about 10% cheaper then buying them in a store, because our money is worth more.
But yes, modding isn't worth it on Gamecube, but PS2 and X-box are different stories.

Sure it is, if you're willing to play games that haven't been released in America yet.

Anyway, I got Donkey Kong Jungle Beat on March 19th, and it was pretty fun. Banging on the bongos makes your hands hurt a little, but it's not too extreme. This was a fun game 'n all, but ridiculously short. This game can be beaten within a few hours of gameplay, and will end up causing you to get bored with it in a short amount of time. I beat it in less than two weeks when I collected all 72 of the Kings Crests.
