I realize I posted about this game a year ago, but I figure I'd make a new post. Several months after the release of "Digimon World Re:Digitize" for the PSP, Namco/Bandai announced a new version of the game would be released on the 3DS. For those who don't know what Re:Digitize is, it is essentially a reboot of the original Digimon World, where you raise your Digimon through its stages of life, much like a virtual pet. It is developed by Tri-Cresendo, and characters created by Suzuhito Yasuda, the character designer of "Durarara!!" and the "Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor" series.
The 3DS version of this game was released in Japan on June 27, 2013, and Western fans are excited to play it since it was first announced. There is a online petition
that had exceeded 10,000 signatures in less than a month, and is rapidly growing.
I'm hoping to see this game localized. It would be the first Digimon game we've had in years. If this is something you want to see happen, be sure to sign the petition, too
-- The petition has been updated to embrace any Digimon game - present and future - for any console. Redigitize De:Code and Cyber Sleuth being the two primary games. Links have been updated with the new URL to the petition.
