Well, I certainly love the Civ series, but only to relax. Thus I never play anything above the easiest difficult level. I usually get cultural or scientific victories that way. :)

:D I've only owned Beyond the Sword for probably...19 hours, and aside from 5 hours of sleep I've been playing it ^^;
I don't play too much higher than Warlord difficulty myself because I get sick and tired of the AI cheating o.o;;
Like, they can send a healthy Archer at a Gunship and take out about half of it's health but if you send a Musketeer at a Rifleman you don't put a dent in it.
I get sick of cheap AI tactics.
Yeah. That reminds me of something a friend of mine said.
If it says the odds of winning are 100% then you can do it. But If it say the odds are 99% then you should think about it agian.

Yup! And for the AI if the odds are 10% of winning they prolly will pull it off.
I've had my fair share of unlikely wins, but I've had a huge share of cheat defeats. I think my best time is when I sent a Panzer at a heavily fortified city with 7% chance to win and it did O.o;
But still, the AI likes to keep their old spearmen, archers, etc, and throw them at you in the late game like they're meat shields and still kick your tanks and gunships to pieces with them.
I think everything from muskets down should be unable to do any damage to tanks :p
