Coming out this autumn for PS4 and PC. It's being developed by Black Forest Games, the same people who worked on Giana Sisters.

clearly we're in an era of retro revivals and comebacks, nostalgia pandering is the big thing in the market
bring back old junk food/drink from 2~ decades ago = cheetos paws, crystal pepsi, etc
dig up old video game and cartoon properties and revive them = shaq-fu, toejam & earl, PPG, samurai jack, ducktales, etc
find the roots to something in an established franchise and build on them again = sonic mania, super mario odyssey

and then motherfucking bubsy comes out of retirement
honestly 1/II/FFT weren't as bad as today's gamer culture made them out to be, all this bubsy hate seems to stem from bubsy 3D and bubsy himself being pathetically weak (one-hit death in 1, FFT, and 3D)

those 21 years must've slowed him down quite a bit because he handled like an old sonic fangame in 1/II/FFT
bubsy was literally born from his creator's binging on sonic 1

now if only aero the acro-bat, mr. nutz (hoppin' mad's gameplay with the original's graphics at least) vectorman, bonk (pc genjin), plok (beyond webcomics), tempo, earthworm jim, gex, and goemon would follow suit...
