The overrated games topic.
« on: Dec 20 2010, 03:50 PM »
Since there hasn't been much to talk about in the gaming forum recently, I thought I'd go ahead and throw this one out there.

As for me, I've seen various topics like this in several other message boards I've been to, and whenever the subject of overrated games is brought up, Mega Man 2 always comes to mind. That game is overrated beyond belief. In fact, I'd say that it's the very definition of it. I'll never understand why so many people act as if this game's the greatest thing since sliced bread, treating it like the Second Coming of Jesus. Honestly, a recent issue of the Nintendo Power magazine described Mega Man 2 as being "perfect in every possible way". I'll tell you, that is far from being true. Aside from the fact that the game has a broken weakness cycle, where nearly every boss is weak against the Quick Boomerang and/or Metal Blade (including Metal Man, himself), the game has some of the worst level designs in the series. The amount of attention this game gets is absolutely sickening, considering the fact that there are so many other games in the series that have surpassed it (Mega Man 3 and 7 are prime examples).

LOZ majora's mask.
i hate the time system. yet the game gets enough praise to be gamefaqs' game of the decade. what sort of enjoyment do people see in keeping a time limit at bay for the entire game?
guess i just suck at it, can't even pass the beginning when you need to get the ocarina back, every attempt i get so close and then the moon drops.
