Slate is a dark angel who's parents kicked her out because she wasn't like everyone else. She couldn't hide her wings therefore her family was too embarassed to be around her much less be seen with her. She found out quickly that hiding in the shadows was pretty easy as long as she stayed there with her cloke on. She now roams about trying to find someone or a place where she will be accepted.
Shadow is a vampire, well more of a day walker than a normal vampire, he has a love for the human race because of how inovative they are. Still he needs to eat and will take a very tasty young girl now and then. He is always in black because everything else burns him. He doesn't know why but it just does. He enjoys roaming around the dark city and just watching the nightly events.
