Prologue

"Stay where you are! You are under arrest for stealing the Eye of the Void, Stealing from various traveling merchants, museums, and being a threat to Semoria, dream of the Wolf Maiden.” Kyoko yelled aiming a pistol at Dragu, a 17-year-old boy with wolf ears and a tail. "Whoa there…I wasn't even there…I never entered that place…too tight security...so I was wondering around the world a bit. So I didn't do it." Dragu said stepping back a bit. "Then why did your DNA match when we found blood spattered the seal room? That's the clue that'll put you in Kaiszen...for good." Kyoko said, shooting the gun. Dragu sidestepped the shot, and sent the bullet back at her with a snap of his fingers. "No dice lady, I'm never being sent there…no way in bloody hell. Why come after me?” He said, sidestepping more shots from the gun. “And why not?” Kyoko said angrily, before Dragu tripped. “Remember when we sent a rescue party to rescue Surashi." He said as he tried to buy time as he got up. She stared at him a minute as he moved his cloak a bit to place his hands on two wire outlined hilts. "Surashi? You were the hooded person that saved…Rei." She muttered, lowering her gun and stared at the ground, thinking for a moment. When she raised the gun again to fire again, but Dragu was gone. "Fool." A whisper said, before a very strong gust of wind tripped her and knocked the gun from her hand. "You know what?" A voice said, drifting across the room. “I’m tired of being pursued. If my family had not of died in that attack on Semisumi manor, I would have a family to call my own. But what did the Mercy do? Nothing. They just let it go by.” He said, reappearing in front of her. “But…it’s not my fault. Listen…the mercy may have not done anything, but Rei had been investigating it. It’s not my fault.” She said bringing herself up, wincing as her ankle; she must have twisted her ankle without noticing. “Sure. Just like-” He shuddered as a katana stuck out of his stomach, as a blue flame snaked out from the sword. The flame spread, sealing Dragu in a case of freezefire, a flame-like ice, mostly used for stopping beings in their track… "Chief…I've captured him. Please send a pickup crew to the scene...” Kyoko sighed, placing the crystalline link transmitter in the pouch on her right hip.
