Title: Shades of Existence
Post by: DarkOnistar on Jun 08 2009, 11:45 AM
When I was last on the forums I thought about writing a story for "Wolfhearts Academy" a fictional school of magic which was huge in proportions (In its own pocket dimension), however I couldn't find much of a plot for it and although I created a cool school it didn't matter because there was no plot to it.

After a couple of roleplays I started making my own story which has a plot and could possibly go in a series.  The series is called "Shades of Existence"

I went to show my idea to my friends on DeviantArt when I hit 500 page-views
(I don't consider myself an artist but since its been my currently active community, I posted there).

I was uncomfortable at first to post anything as the story idea was inspired by real events, dreams and quite an imagination of mine.
Anyway I'll go post the brief below.

====================
Shades of Existence - The First Blacklight
Quote
The story is about a family called the 'Shade' family which is made up of 'Darklings' and 'Lightlings'.
It was in a feud for years where both sides fought one another, until peace was made.

Melody was born, the very first 'Blacklight'.
Being treated horribly by both sides except by her parents and her best friends, Melody tries to cope with her existence and its new born secrets.
------------
The story is based in the present where Science rules supreme.. until Melody shows up (Magic meets Science).
The storyline is mostly based in a country town - the location is irelevent.

Note: Its been years since I did English, so I know my writing skills have perhaps degraded loads since then, but my active imagination still streams in new ideas which I want to write down and eventually put into stories.
