Title: 10 years of kitsune
Post by: Samui on Sep 18 2014, 01:37 PM
Ten years ago today, I launched Kitsune Paradise. It was something special because it was the first incarnation of this community to use an actual domain, rather than the DynDNS hostnames previously used. It was also my 18th birthday. I decided to launch it on that day for that reason, really. For those of you who want to see what we looked like way back in the day, when we used IPB 1.3, here is a screenshot (http://kitsuria.net/i/firefox_owns.JPG) taken shortly before the upgrade to IPB 2.0.

We have come a long way since then, gone through several changes over the years. I won't bore you with the life story of the site. That can be read on our about page (https://kitsuria.net/index.php?page=about). I'd just like to thank those of you who have stuck around for all this time. I really appreciate it. :)

I don't really have much prepared for this. Probably just a few status updates regarding things I've been working on. Progress has been a bit slow, mainly due to laziness and burnout. I still am trying to get back into the swing of things, especially now that summer's over and I can't use heat as an excuse.

I've been working on revamping the templates for Pets and Inferno, as you could see in the Screenshot Saturday (https://kitsuria.net/general-discussion/screenshot-saturday/msg69258/#new) thread. Equipping items in Inferno will take fewer clicks, and the shop will be laid out differently. Pets will have an improved main section, and the "Click here to continue" screens will be removed. The battle system for Pets will soon be ready. When the updates go live, you will also be able to gain XP per post (though not so much in the Spam forum). I'm also finally going to add the new equipment to Inferno with the next update.

I've been meaning to show off the first part of ParaBound for a while. I've just been pretty lazy (what else is new?). That will be done very soon. Also, I am still trying to stream more regularly.

I am getting back to work on Digital Dimension, finishing the third chapter. I am also going to start up again on Kitsurian Chronicles, something I need to find a better name for, maybe. But yeah, I'll be redoing that soon.

And that's about it. I've got a couple other things in the works, but I'm not ready to show them off yet.
